The Lodge is in a beautiful country location on a working Stud Farm & horse rehabilitation centre. Separate arrangements can be made direct with the stud to bring your horse. It borders the Kendal to Lancaster canal and has a lovely countryside outlook from every window. The location is peaceful and tranquil but has people milling around with horses turning them out in fields or riding past on the estate. Local amenities are within easy reach along with many things to do in the area.

The space
The Lodge provides everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The kitchen is fully equipped including a dishwasher and there is an entrance utility with a washer and dryer to clean off your muddy clothes after hacking out or just enjoying long country muddy walks.
There is a lovely log burning stove to warm up by on colder days after long days out or just to relax by and read a book.

For those who like to holiday and bring their horses along we offer these facilities which can be booked alongside your stay. Additional charges apply for this and it will need to be booked separately when you book the Lodge

Guest access
Guests have access to the lodge, parking area and garden. Access to the stables, allocated field space if you have booked your horse in to stay and holiday with you.

Other things to note
This is a working stud farm and farm machinery does occasionally pass by the Lodge. Residents with children must be aware of their safety at all times.

Horses are grazing in the fields surrounding the Lodge and we do want and hope you enjoy their beauty. It is important that guests are not tempted to feed the horses. Children should be supervised at all times and are not permitted to enter the fields. Horses are beautiful animals and for most part friendly but can become dangerous and kick or bite particularly if food is involved.

Smoking is permitted outside of the Lodge on the patio area. We ask that guest who smoke collect, thoroughly extinguish and safely dispose of all cigarette ends.
