(Edit 1.5.2021: Current road condition is bad because of snow melting = 1-2 km walk to the cabin from the asphalt road.)

We offer an affordable guest room in an amazing location by our own lake. The traditional log building has up to 8 beds. Here you will hear the nature and you will get a safe guided experience of living in the forest.

We offer a wood-heated sauna for extra 20€ and bedsheets for extra 5€ per person.

You will be hosted by a multilingual outdoor guide (FR, GE, EN, ES, FI).

The space
Several traditional log buildings on the property just 15 minutes outside of Pyhä and Luosto. But yet in the middle of the forest.

Big fireplace inside the cosy cabin, private wood-heated sauna and a quiet lake makes the location unique. Do not be scared of the reindeers running through property every now and then and always remember to keep an eye on the sky for Auroras! The place is very good for Aurora watching.

This is a location where your soul can have a deep breath of clean air and a proper rest from the hustle and bustle of the world. No electricity, no running water and no indoor toilet gives this otherwise luxury location its own twist. But do not be scared of the off-grid conditions, the hosts make sure the cabin is always warm and the hosts will guide you through the whole experience.

Property is 16 hectars including a private lake with swimming and fishing opportunities. One SUP board is also in the use of guests, and snow shoes in winter. The cabin is nearby a national park and Pyhä and Luosto ski villages. In the closest village there is a supermarket, a visitor center, restautants, bars and cafeterias.

Other things to note
NO ELECTRICITY - power banks for phone available from a request and we have very fast internet connection.
NO INDOOR TOILET OR SHOWER - (OUTHOUSE/DRY TOILET ONLY). There is a private dry toilet at the edge of the forest. Showering is done while sauna building is heated. Sauna = shower room.
NO RUNNING WATER - There is a well for water and there is bottled drinking water that is brought from the city and boiled drinking water always waiting in the kitchen. Warm water is also always available.

Guests dont need to worry about basic things. Host will show how everything works. Guests just come and relax and experience the off-grid living with the hosts!

ACCESS OF THE PROPERTY

The access to the property is by road. With a high car you can drive all the way to the cabin, but it always depends on the weather and road conditions how easy it is to drive all the way. Host has a van that he can use to pick up guests from the parking area few kilometers away if guests cannot drive all the way. For a small additional cost host can also pick up from Pyhä or Luosto center.

There is Public transportation to Pyhä (matkahuolto.fi for bus and vr.fi for train to Kemijärvi). Pyhä is 2 hours drive away from Rovaniemi. Pyhä area is a good stop also on the way from South to North.
