Our Belle tent is our new addition for 2020. The tent is the perfect place for two adults to get away from it all and enjoy the stunning Peak District National Park. Our kingsize bed with luxury Egyptian cotton linen will keep you cosy and twinkling fairy lights add to the magical ambiance. Outside there is seating, a BBQ and a fire pit too. We are in a glorious part of the Peak District surrounded 360 degree rolling hills .

The space
The bell tent has a large comfy bed and Egyptian cotton linen and towels, and solar powered fairy lights make in a magical fairytale den to escape to. There is also a firepit for you to toast marshmallows and enjoy our dark skies at night. We provide a breakfast hamper with local baked bread, free range eggs, local dairy milk, bacon from the local butchers and jam too. The bell tent has access to our lovely shared facilities block ( shared with our other small number of glampers ) which has a gorgeous roll top bath to soak in, a huge shower and two proper flushing toilets! The facilities block is also home to a rustic kitchen area with a American style fridge freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, and cooker.

Where you’ll be

Quarnford, England, United Kingdom

We are surrounded by gorgeous countryside in a wonderfully peaceful location down a quiet country lane, yet only a mile from Flash, the highest village in England, where there is an excellent cafe, village store, and the popular Knight’s Table Pub.

The neighbouring villages of Flash and Quarnford are good for picking up the basics, but many guests prefer to get most of their supplies at Buxton, just five miles from the farmhouse. The Romans called the spa town Aquae Arnemetiae and built a shrine and baths on what is now the Crescent Hotel. Wealthy Georgians and Victorians all visited Buxton to “take the waters”, and a spa day remains the perfect way to treat yourself today. It is a fantastic town for shopping and dining, and several way-marked walking trails around Buxton show off its history and stunning architecture.

Bakewell is a little more low-key than Buxton but no less beautiful. Independent retailers, restaurants and cafes fill quirky period buildings that date back, in some cases, to the late 1500s. There is a regular weekly market with more than 100 stalls every Monday, and a farmers’ market on the last Saturday of the month. Jane Austen stayed at the Rutland Arms Hotel and is believed to have used Bakewell and nearby Chatsworth House as inspiration for the setting of Pride and Prejudice.

The Peak District can be explored overground on the Monsal Trail and Tissington Trail, by going up Mam Tor or walking over the Dovedale stepping stones, and underground at Poole’s Cavern and Treak Cliff Cavern. Drink in the serene countryside views of The Roaches, or admire the geological formations at Kinder Scout and Stanage Edge. Visit Eyam village and the Lumsdale Valley, or take a ride on the historic Ecclesbourne Valley Railway or the Heights of Abraham cable car in Matlock Bath.
