Clean, cozy private studio apartment on the lower level of my family's Marblehead home. Located right near Swampscott & Salem. Private walkout entrance w/ small fenced in garden all to yourself. Off-street parking, self check-in, wifi, & work space so you can study or work remotely.

No occupancy tax!

10 min walk to South Salem line, right near Salem State's campus. Drive to downtown Mhead or Salem in < 10 min.

1 to 2 well behaved dogs allowed. Many nearby dog friendly trails and beaches.

The space
Sleeps up to four people with a queen-sized bed and a brand new queen-sized pullout sofa with new memory foam mattress.

Kitchenette includes refrigerator, Keurig, french press, coffee grinder, electric kettle, toaster oven, microwave, slow cooker, water filter, dishes, silverware, placemats, cloth napkins, and a portable induction cooktop with pot and pan.

Enjoy 4 beach towels and beach chairs located in the closet with room to store your belongings and hang your clothes.

Utilize the cozy corner desk to read, work, or charge your devices.

TV is streaming only and can take a few minutes to load. Netflix is included, and you can sign in to your own account for Hulu, YouTube or Amazon Prime. Or take time and unplug with some of the board games and puzzles we provide in the entertainment center.

Seating for four with a small table in your corner section of the backyard. We do like our neighbors and appreciate keeping the noise to a reasonable level between 9 PM - 7 AM.

Because my family lives above this suite, you may occasionally hear us walking around, playing, listening to music, or our puppy excitedly barking at mealtime, just like we might occasionally hear you. We offer earplugs, a Google Home which can be used to play white noise or music, and do our best to respectfully keep the noise down to a minimum.

One car parking alongside my car in our driveway is also available.

Guest access
The suite will be entirely yours and has its own private entrance. You'll also enjoy your own small part of the back yard that is sectioned off.

Shared parking is available in front of the house or on the righthand side of the driveway next to my car. Driveway parking only when it’s snowing.

In a rare emergency, I may need to enter the unit to access the electrical panel or water shut-off. I will alert you beforehand and give as much notice as possible in these instances.

Other things to note
We're delighted to share our home and beautiful town with you. An electronic guidebook will be sent to you 3 days prior to your stay, which will include further information on location, check-in and check-out, house rules, local attractions, dining, and more.

1-2 well-behaved dogs per stay are welcome. Please see house rules for more info. No cats or other pets please.

My family and I just north of Boston in a historically quaint town along the ocean. We love to spend our time outdoors being active, exploring all that our beautiful local area has to offer, and taking one bigger trip per year using credit card travel points. Our first bigger trip was to Disney World and Universal Studios where we had an absolute blast. Harry Potter world was my favorite, especially because my son and I were finishing up the last book in the series together while we were there. The following year we went skiing, sledding, snowshoeing, skating and snowboarding in NH. All the S's. :-) This past year we went to magical Sedona, Antelope Canyon, the Navajo reservation, and the Grand Canyon. The landscape took my breath away and I can't wait to go back someday. I studied abroad in Perth, Australia while in college and that was one of the best times of my life. I went sky diving, kayaking, surfing, snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef, held koala bears and saw kangaroos, traveled to various islands and met some incredible people. It was that experience that really solidified travel as something of significant importance to me. Our next adventure will be hosting and I'm really looking forward to sharing the magical parts of my home and town with you.

During your stay
Chances are you might see us around at the front or back of the house and we're happy to chat and offer any recommendations in addition to those provided in your electronic guidebook, which you'll receive from me 3 days prior to your stay. If you'd prefer privacy and limited interaction, that's fine too and we'll take your cue.
