The Royal Harbour Hotel is a charming 28 bedroom Georgian hotel located on Ramsgate’s West Cliff overlooking the sea and marina.
The hotel is elegant yet bohemian and very friendly.

Each en suite room is unique, some have sea views, some overlook the garden. Rooms vary in size from the “cozy-single” a tiny room dominated by a super-comfortable single bed with the softest down filled bedding, to the grand "Royal Oak" suite with its balcony and spectacular sea views

The space
Small but perfectly formed rooms for the solo traveller on the third floor with superb sea views. No lift means that you have to use the stairs, but the climb is worth it, only the seagulls get a better view! Our friendly staff are on hand to help with your bags and the room facilities don't disappoint with our signature down/feather filled luxury bedding, over-size bath sheets and art filled walls.

Where you’ll be

Ramsgate, Kent, United Kingdom

Ramsgate is steeped in history and has hosted many famous visitors, including painters Van Gogh and Turner. Pugin, architect of London’s Houses of Parliament, has a famous arts and craft style house nearby. Historic walking tours hosted by locals are a must.

Towering chalk cliffs, golden sands, and rocky pools on candy-striped beach hut frilled bays beckon.

A foodie's delight: choose between fine restaurants, friendly bistros or gobbling fish and chips on the beach (before the seagulls do!).

During your stay

The hotel is a unique reflection of the owner’s bohemian and eclectic taste. He has always loved the sea. As a young man he served in the merchant navy before leaving to gain experience with some internationally renowned hotels including Claridge's and the Savoy.

Guests are encouraged to spend time downstairs in art-filled cosy sitting rooms wth roaring log fires. In summer a pretty walled courtyard garden bursting with pots and birdsong will lure you outside for a pre-dinner drink at the garden Honesty Bar.

Ramsgate is steeped in history and over the centuries has had many famous visitors. To name a couple: Pugin, architect of London’s Houses of Parliament, has a famous arts and craft style house just down the road. Painter Van Gogh visited Ramsgate often.

The beach always beckons, choose between relaxing on golden sands, hiking along towering chalk cliffs, water sports in tiny local bays frilled by candy striped beach huts and shrimping in wave washed rocky pools.
