Rest, rejuvenation and connection, that sense of space that gives you permission to just be.

In the moment, completely present, surrounded by nature.
A place to find or lose yourself. For love, for connection and for joy. For the best parts of life.

The Keep is a bespoke double storey building perched on a 650m rocky outcrop with 360 degree views of the Blue Tier and the entire North Eastern coastline. Embrace quintessential Tasmanian surroundings in complete solitude, just the two of you.

The space
The Keep is located in Gould’s Country in North East Tasmania on 250 acres.

Outside there is a wonderful stone outdoor bath fit for two, complete with Tasmanian aromatic bath bombs (and Tasmanian wine to purchase if you're after a different type of bubbly).

Imagine the boulders framing the night sky as you lay in hot, steamy water underneath the milky way, watching satellites and shooting stars to the sounds of the night-time forest.

Moments in life rarely get more magical and surreal than this.

The outdoor bath has been designed to seamlessly blend into the geology that has existed on this mountain top for millions of years. Protected from the winds behind majestic boulders creating a natural outdoor room that is completely private.

A hand crafted granite fireplace lets you sit and stare into the flames like humanity has done for millenia.

Inside you will find:
Escea gas heater,
Tasmanian bespoke dining table, chairs, and liquor cabinet.
A customised king sized bed with superb blackheart sassafras bedhead
Weber BBQ electric
Bluetooth portable speakers for bedrooms and living area
Washing machine
Board games
A pack of cards,
Quality sketch pad and pencils
Selection of Tasmanian oriented books
Tasmanian centric art on the walls
Exquisite hand crafted light fittings
Indoor shower with unobstructed window to the distant horizon
WiFi (if required)
Therapy Pod beanbag for 2

We have thought of all the small things so you don't have to.

Where you’ll be

Goulds Country, Tasmania, Australia

Once you arrive at The Keep, if the forest draws you in to its heart we have three marked walks that immerse you in the wilderness.

1. A 10 minute walk to see one of Tasmania’s largest myrtle trees
2. A short drive from the property (or you can walk along the private road) to clear water creek which is a lovely spot to take a picnic and to sit beside a gentle creek surrounded by greenery with complete solitude- it is yours to explore
3. A short flat stroll through a predominantly man-fern rainforest

These are all on our property and exclusively yours.

In The Keep guide you will also find things to visit further afield.
