Victor Ozeri was born in Brooklyn New York. He dropped out of high school, spent time as a hippie, went to work waiting tables, selling shoes, and driving a New York City taxi. In 1981 fate took a hand and a man Victor picked up in his taxi hired him and sent him to Communist China to work. Victor went to China in 1982 for one month. He stayed for 10 years. And as they say folks, the rest is history. Victor spent the next 30 years as an old friend of China and doing business throughout Asia. During that time he built a successful company and became involved in many philanthropic efforts. He has three biological kids and four "logical Kids" Whom he adopted as a single dad while doing humanitarian work and living in Ethiopia. In 2010, Victor built three stone houses on a Deepwater canal on the north fork of Long Island. The purpose being to house his extraordinary collection of arts, antiquities, and curiosities that he collected during his world travels. Victor's wife Jonalyn grew up the daughter of a farmer and a fisherman on an island in the Philippines. She is your consummate island girl and makes a great summer host. Upon seeing her new husband's home for the first time, Jonalyn exclaimed that this is more of a museum or a hotel!!!! Your beautiful hostess Jonalyn is the inspiration behind Victorville by the Sea. Join us this season as Jonalyn & Victor open the doors of their most unique home to the public. Enjoy the warmth of Jonalyn’s special Asian hospitality while Victor regales you with stories of his most interesting life.
