Renovated 2 bedroom 1930s Cottage, perched on the gentle slopes of a lush 120 acre working regenerative farm, where happy sheep and cows graze on chemical-free pasture. Relaxing, family-friendly, off-grid, with breathtaking views of the beautiful Kangaroo Valley escarpment. Only 4kms from the charming Kangaroo Valley Village and 20min from historic Berry and its nearby beaches. Guest access
Rosewood Cottage is accessed via a shared driveway with the hosts. Guests will have access to a large yard surrounding the cottage and an outdoor dining space under a pergola with sweeping views of the Valley.

Other things to note
We welcome guests who are environmentally-conscious. Our property is completely off-grid and runs entirely on solar powered energy when the sun shines. During overcast days and in the evenings our property runs off batteries.

Your thermal comfort is also very important to us. Please consider the wood burner and gas heater in the evenings - rather than the reverse cycle air conditioning for heating. And please consider the ceiling fans in the evenings - rather than the air conditioning for cooling.

Our property also uses precious tank water, collected from the rain that falls on the cottage roof. Please use water mindfully. Our tank water has a brand new triple filtration system for your peace of mind.

Our cottage and home uses an on-site effluent system. Please flush nothing in addition to toilet paper down the toilet or our septic tank will block. A bin is provided in the bathroom for all other waste.

The hot water is heated using gas. If you should run out of hot water, cooking gas on the stove and the gas heater won’t operate, it’s likely one gas bottle is run empty and the new gas bottle needs to be used. To do this, simply locate the gas bottles at the rear of the cottage, behind the water tank and follow these steps:
1. Tighten/close the tap on top of the open bottle (clockwise: “right to tight”).
2. Flip the change over lever between the gas bottles (located on the small pipes which connects the two bottles) from facing the empty bottle that you have just closed to face the new full bottle of gas.
3. Open the tap on the new gas bottle (anti-clockwise: “left to loose”).
4. Let your host know you have swapped a cylinder over so that we can order a replacement for our next guests.

NOTE: please notify us if you activate a full gas bottle over during your stay so that we can order a replacement of the empty one for our next guests. This part is very important.
