Lisnabrin House has enjoyed 300 years of entertaining,we are delighted to extend it's warm welcome to guests in the refurbished courtyard accommodation.A traditional Courtyard Cottage with all modern conveniences. Two double ensuite bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen and cosy snug. Crisp bed linen, fluffy towels and a yummy breakfast hamper (milk, fresh orange juice, eggs, fruit, cereals, yogurt, bread, butter, jams and yummy treats). Your hamper and bins are refreshed as required.

The space

The Courtyard Accommodation is comprised of a recently refurbished Cottage (with two ensuite double rooms, fully equipped traditional kitchen and a cosy snug) .. Double doors from the kitchen lead out onto the cottage garden terrace.

Lisnabrin is set in 25 acres of pasture, you are very welcome to wander and visit the animals, our horses and dogs are very friendly.

We want our guests to feel welcome, relaxed and at home….we provide breakfast hampers and hopefully everything you need for a comfortable stay….anything extra at all that you might need, please give us a call or feel free to call into us in the house….otherwise we will leave you to enjoy the peace and quiet.

Guest access

The Courtyard cottages are located in the courtyard buildings of the main house but offer a private setting with separate access and your own sun terrace and BBQ area.

The main house is our home and any spaces that are private are clearly marked. We enjoy sharing this beautiful part of Ireland with all our guests so please relax and enjoy.

Interaction with guests

We are very much led by the guests on this one…we are always on hand to offer advice or arrange any extras you may need …. but we will leave you to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Other things to note

Just a note, the cottage is set in the beautiful courtyard buildings built in 1720. It would have been used as accommodation for the many staff required to keep the estate running. The original stairs provide access to the two ensuite bedrooms, these stairs are marginally steeper than normal. We have fitted a handrail either side of the stairs.

This was the best Air BnB we have ever stayed at. It was so comfortable, beautifully fitted out and in a great setting. Breakfasts left in the kitchen each day were generous, fresh and wholesome. The beds were so comfy with crisp, fresh linens and fluffy donnas and pillows. The setting on the horse farm is peaceful, and the short 1/2 km walk to the pleasant, clean local pub, The Plough was easy. Niamh and Richard couldn't have made us feel more welcome. We will definitely return to this place when we come again to visit our family in Ireland.

My stay at the cottage was better than I could have hoped for. Niamh and Richard are truly incredible hosts and their warm hospitality made me feel so welcome. Their personal touches, attention to detail, helpful advice and great conversation made for an amazing experience. The cottage itself has been beautifully restored and makes you feel right at home. It’s private garden, warm cosy beds and fully equipped kitchen make it the ideal place to stay in the peaceful Irish countryside. The entire property is picturesque and is lovely to take a stroll around, often being accompanied by one or more of the delightful dogs. I stayed a bit longer than the average guest, but felt incredibly welcome the entire time. I am so grateful to have met such a wonderful family and for my time at Lisnabrin.

We were very warmly received by Niamh. The clean cottage is very lovingly furnished. The delicious breakfast was refilled with high quality foot daily. We felt in the great estate like guests at earls. Thanks for all Niamh.

We are a family of 4, plus our dog, and just returned from a lovely holiday in curraglass. It's a beautiful part of the country with lots of walks and places to visit nearby. The cottage is small, but very cosy and comfortable. We were really well looked after, and invited to help ourselves to fruit and vetegables from their fabulous garden. We can't wait to return someday . Thank you to Niamh and the sleepover team

Niamh & Richard Marsh (& 3 kids), settled in Co. Cork in 2010…taking on the rather daunting prospect of a Georgian Gem in need of TLC... between Airline Pilot and Physiotherapist…our skills have been challenged, but it was worth it!! With all the hard work done, we are delighted to open it's doors once more…Horses, dogs, skiing, entertaining, rugby, good food,.. are the family pursuits….Our family motto would probably be…life's too exciting to sleep in!!
