The Five Pilchards Inn is a hidden gem situated in the charming Cornish village of Porthallow Cove, an old fishing village in West Cornwall. The Five Pilchards Inn is a Free House, restaurant, and bed and breakfast, situated next to the beach and established in 1830. The Inn sadly shut its doors in early 2019, but was acquired later that year by Pralla Limited, dedicated to renovating, refurbishing and bringing this focal point of Porthallow back to life.

Owners and hosts, David and Vanessa Leatherdale, moved to the village in 2018 and are only the 16th landlords in the Inns 190 history.

Purchased by Pralla Ltd in November 2019 we have tried to offer a community led pub within a amazing Cornish village that offers a warm welcome to both locals and visitors all year round.

After over 30 years working within the sporting sector, including 20 years as a professional cricketer and 6 years as CEO of Worcestershire County Cricket Club, we hope to provide a warm welcome in a relaxed atmosphere where we now call home.
