This refined two-bedroom apartment is in an elegant turn-of-the-century building that housed the elite of San Telmo/Monserrat during Argentina’s heyday. You can tell it was built for the wealthy when you step into the lobby. Gorgeous staircase and birdcage elevator with stained glass windows, heavy wrought-iron door, and beautiful mosaic tiles.

The space
In the heart of the San Telmo antique area and a few blocks from the famous Plaza Dorrego tango square, this historic French building features a 95 Square Meter, third floor 2 Bedroom/2 Bath apartment with a designer's blend of the avant garde and antiques.

The subway system is very reliable and it covers the center and the outskirts of the city with a combined route of 46 kilometers and 80 stations.

Taxis in Buenos Aires are black with the roof painted yellow, they roam the city streets 24 hours a day and you can either flag them on the streets or call them for a pick up (Radio Taxis).

Location

Buenos Aires, Capital Federal, Argentina

It's a fantastic location. We love San Telmo's bohemian vibe and authenticity. Though gentrification is definitely happening, it's not pretentious... yet. You'll want to explore San Telmo's casas de tango, small traditional restaurants known as bodegones, old-fashioned bars called Nares notables, antique and vintage shops, and the trendy new restaurants, cafes, and fancy boutiques. Day or night, San Telmo is full of activity. In particular, we love that it's small. No matter where you are in San Telmo, you'll find a cool place to eat, great bars and cafes, some lovely boutiques (though fewer than in Palermo or Recoleta) and you will mostly hear Spanish.
