Welcome to the Apartment Monolith. We greet you at 1000 meters located in the heart of the Black Forest. Only a few steps away from the forest and in the middle of nature, the barrier-free apartment offers a lot of space for relaxation, rest and get-together. Ideal for all who wants to spend a relaxing time in the middle of the Black Forest. In the Apartment Monolith you will live on 50 m², with a luxurious interior in a charming Black Forest style.
The space
In the year 2020 newly built Monolith owes its name to a massive construction, clear contours and the surrounding wooden facade. The Siberian larch is not painted and will turn grey with the years and reflect the face of a grown monolith. The sustainability of renewable resources was important to the architect. Painted wood means a lot of hazardous waste in a few years. But not with the monolith! Perfect to appreciate and preserve our environment.
Bathroom
The newly furnished, spacious bathroom has an XXL rain shower, which invites you to relax. Shampoo, shower gel, soap, towels, shower cloths and a hairdryer are naturally part of the equipment in the Apartment Monolith. The rustic washbasin brings the Black Forest into the bathroom and conjures up a cosy atmosphere. We invite you to feel comfortable here!
Kitchen
The spacious kitchen is fully equipped. Cutlery, crockery, glasses, pots and pans and all cooking utensils are a matter of course. Here the Black Forest hospitality scores. A refrigerator, an oven, an induction hob, a toaster, an electric kettle and a microwave for quick meals should not be missing. The dishwasher takes care of the dishes. The entire house was newly built in 2020 and therefore has the latest standards. To help you start the day, a Nespresso coffee and espresso machine with a basic selection of capsules is available. You will also find a variety of teas, spices, vinegar and oil
Living room
Some walls of the living room and the kitchen have been clad with 120-year-old, historic wooden floorboards from a Black Forest farmhouse. They bring cosiness into the living room and form a Black Forest silhouette with many animals of the forest. Let yourself be surprised by the cozy lighting atmosphere. The living room has a sofa bed. It can be converted into a bed in a few easy steps. A large Smart TV is a must for cosy evenings in the apartment. A small chest of drawers and a generous living room cupboard offer space and storage. Hand planed wild oak planks have been laid throughout the living room, bedroom and kitchen area. The underfloor heating guarantees a feel-good factor. Sun or snow? The weather station informs you about the current weather situation to plan your stay with outdoor activities.
For those who are staying in the apartment for business purposes, there is fast internet with own free WLAN and additionally 4 separate network sockets. So here you can work without worries and use the full bandwidth. There are many sockets throughout the apartment. Among them there is also a USB double socket to be able to charge your smartphones directly and without a power plug.
Bedroom
The large, 160 cm wide box spring bed will take you to the land of dreams. The bedroom can be separated from the living room via 2 large sliding doors. Those who prefer it open do not need to close the ceiling-high sliding doors. In the large and spacious wardrobe with a large mirror all your clothes will find a place. You don't have to worry about bed linen, pillows and blankets, because they are part of the basic equipment. In addition, there is a safe in the bedroom which can be used at no extra cost.
Garden / Outside
Attention: The monolith is a new building. The garden and the area in front of the house door is not yet finished and designed. The outdoor area is expected to be completed in May 2020.
From May 2020
The Apartment Monolith includes a spacious garden compartment with a beautiful, new garden lounge. A mild summer evening in the Black Forest invites you to relax. Perfect for barbecuing, soaking up the sun and enjoying the peace and quiet at the edge of the forest. On the other side of the street, there is a small playground. Here children can enjoy themselves.
Barrier-free apartment
The new holiday apartment has been specially designed for the needs of physically challenged people. The ground floor apartment has no steps, everything is easily accessible with a wheelchair: from the street to the apartment. There are no conventional doors in the apartment, only sliding doors. This makes it easier for every visitor to access the individual rooms. Barrier-free access in the bathroom is also provided by a floor-level XXL shower and a washstand that can be driven under.
