The accomodation is elevated 578m above sea level with views of the established garden below and valley far beyond from the decked balcony east facing.
Guests enjoy private & leafy outdoor spaces, including a dedicated and leafy guest courtyard featuring a firepit, vintage outdoor bath, and wood-fired pizza oven.
Optional pre-booked in-house services allow you to tailor your stay entirely by choice, if you so wish.

🔐 PRIVACY & PROPERTY LAYOUT
Guest privacy is absolute.
The unique ‘cottage’ property is a single building set into the side of a hill, consisting of two separate, entirely self-contained accommodations on different levels, both with separated private street entries & private outdoor areas.
Guests occupy the upper accomodation, conveniently accessed via a private leafy entrance then descending a few sandstone steps that lead to the guest accomodations front door.
The hosts’ residence is located on the lower level accommodation further into the hillside and accessed via a seperate additional private entrance.
Hosts Prue & Mathieu live a quiet yet occupied mountain life and regularly work away and like to travel far and wide so they are not always about during guest stays however, they make themselves contactable via the AIRBNB messages.
Accommodation guests will not typically encounter the hosts during their stay.
Interaction only occurs if assistance is requested or in-house services have been arranged prior…. Or occasionally run into their hosts outside the property, in which case they will be greeted with a friendly smile and warm welcome :)

•One small dog Enzo the pug ( MontPierre mascot:) also often occupies the hosts residence and has his very own outdoor space secure and seperate from the guests outdoor areas.
It is unlikely you will encounter little Enzo during your stay🐾🐾

Guest private parking for one car right in front of cottage on the wood chips. Plenty of Other street parking available directly opposite the cottage.
Guest have exclusive private access and use without disturbance of guests courtyard,
private deck area and private balcony/ terrace with garden & regional views.
Guests privately access the cottage through antique orange garden gates which lead onto the private guest courtyard stairs.
Private front door access to private guesthouse cottage accommodation awaits.

Other things to note
THE STORY & VISION OF MONTPIERRE
MontPierre Cottage comprises two fully self-contained private dwellings on different levels, one now operating as a lovingly decorated boutique guest accommodation year-round, and the other as the host residence.
The original charming cottage was built in the 1960s on a section of a former citrus and stone fruit orchard, which operated from the mid-1900s through to the 1950s before becoming large residential plots.
Perched atop the hill, it now serves as the guest accommodation. The additional dwelling below, built into the lower slope and added in more recent years in the same weatherboard style, is now the host residence on this unique vertical mountain property.
Each accommodation has its own private street entrance and designated outdoor spaces, allowing guests to relax and enjoy a truly undisturbed mountain escape, just 77km from Sydney CBD.
Looking ahead, we hope to build a third accommodation in the lower section of the property, set within an ‘Enchanted Hooded Garden’. In time, this will allow us to welcome more guests to experience this peaceful way of life in the Blue Mountains, while enjoying our signature rustic hospitality.
