A spectacular house in an awesome location, We hope it's still available in the future for us to stay in. It was exactly what it said on the tin! 5*

Our trip was amazing, from the puffins on Staffa to Tobermory and Calgary Bay, it was a great trip but what made it even more special was coming back each night to such a wonderful cottage. it really is a perfect place. The kids were thrilled with their room at the top of the house, my daughter loved drawing at the desk on the landing, and after a few nips we even got out the Guitar. I can't thank Gill enough!

An Camas is a wonderful hideaway to relax, recharge and enjoy an amazing ly beautiful part of Scotland. We had car trouble but could not have been stranded in a better place. Directions were spot on and the house is very well equipped and homely. No regrets at all! Just wish we could have stayed longer.

This cottage is outstanding - in terms of natural beauty, quality of accommodation and the service Gill and Ronda provide. It's very remote, but the scenery, serenity and wildlife are jaw dropping. The cottage is beautifully decorated, is very warm, and has everything you could possibly want. The communication, directions, suggestions, welcome and continuing service are all detailed and friendly. I can't recommend An Camas enough - we loved it!

An Camas was an incredible experience, a unique memory of tranquility, peace and inspiration. The house is gorgeous, with everything you need (except a coffee grinder, haha, which Gill kindly told us about in advance), situated at the stunning Morvern peninsula overlooking the bay towards Isle of Mull. Although I never got to meet Gill, she was very fast answering all my questions (even the one about the coffee grinder). We never got to meet Rhonda either, but had a nice chat over the phone. They both seem like lovely people, very kind and helpful. It's a nice sensation, knowing you are a place where you feel welcome and at home. Thank you for that. The house is located at the end of the road, and so it seems far away from everything. Actually it is far away from everything - and that's what's great about it. If you are up for going on large excursions, the place is, still, at the end of a road, so getting away on day trips, can take a while. There is a boat leaving from Drimnin to Tobermory, but it only leaves once a week. So if you want to do that, it might be a good idea to check the schedule in advance. Said that, we enjoyed being at the "end of the world", exploring the beautiful surroundings of the Morvern peninsula, as well as just sitting outside the house, looking at the beautiful ever changing scenery. We had some temporarily problems with the AGA smelling of oil / exhaust. It was just a minor fault, and I'm sure Gill will sort out whatever was wrong with it before any future guests. Overall, a great experience highly recommended. Thanks for having us, we will be back.

Response from Gill:
Hi Daniel, I'm glad you enjoyed the cottage and beautiful Morvern. So sorry about the Aga: it's old and a bit temperamental. I hope it didn't spoil your stay and we'll get it fixed as soon as possible. I do hope we'll see you back again some day! Gill

Gill thought of everything with this five star cottage with the most beautiful views and quiet environment. It is a rare treat with warm well designed rooms, a large and inviting kitchen with an AGA cooker. Wonderfully warm and quiet bedrooms. It's great for kids with loads of games and dvds to keep those cold nights busy. Drimnin is a Scottish hideaway that is first class for getting away from it all. It also had some spectacular views, beaches, and arguably one of the best restaurants in Scotland called "The White House". There's great access to the ferries to Mull and Fort William. An Camus is a gem and is one of those rare places where you genuinely can escape a busy life. The drive to the cottage alone is spectacular.

Thanks for all your lovely comments. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay and I hope you made it to Iona. Also pleased you managed to make it along to The White House - we're looking forward to sampling all this year's new menu delights!

I'm a printmaker from Edinburgh; I make lithographs mostly about remote places. I like visiting art galleries, I like surprising things, I like to eat good food, I like walking and I especially like being by the sea in Morvern.
