I was born and brought up in Orkney and although I have lived in Bedford, St Neots (Cambs) and Gt Yarmouth I found myself yearning for the wide open space and freedom Orkney brings. I have a family of 3 and felt that the unique upbringing which is experienced in the relatively safe and secure environment of Orkney was probably the best I could provide for them.
