Stay like a local and discover the essence and secrets of Kigwema as locals do. The Bedroom has 1 king size bed and can accommodate floor mattresses for more guests. One bedside table, wardrobe for your storage and we also provide heaters on request. If you need hot water, let us know 30 mins before, we do it old school style and heat it up on our fire stove.

The space
Our home is an escape pad for urban travelers. This home is both the perfect base and sanctuary to unwind. We are 10 mins away from the Hornbill festival Venue. I am a closeted horticulturist who loves her garden, you can always sit at our sun-drenched dining arena and enjoy the view of the mountains and the garden. We serve tea and snacks on our terrace, for you to enjoy the sunrise and the sunset.

Location

Kohima, Nagaland, India

We are on the foothills of the second-highest peak of Nagaland, Mt. Japfu. Kigwema village has a long history associated with the Japanese that goes back to World War II when British and Indian forces fought the Imperial Army during the Battle of Kohima in 1944. The honey village of Nagaland, Mima Village is 10 mins away from our home.

It is said, the way to someone's heart is really through their tummy, hence cooking food for others makes me happy. I love to cook Naga cuisine and mix the art of love and food. I also have a green thumb, hence you will get to vist my lovely organic gardens at my home. When I am not cooking or gardening, I am busy singing some melodies.
