Great apartment. Spacious, inexpensive and beautiful. Very quiet area despite being near several bars and the town centre. Not a good apartment choice if you have children as there is a long winding stair with not protective barrier but great for couples and singles.
Buy an inexpensive toaster if you like toast for breakfast or go continental as there are a plethora or small town bakeries and mini supermarkets round the corner.
Good location, quiet, hospitable, all the amenities you could need on your doorstep, very much a village feeling but with great transport links into the centre of Berlin or to Frankfurt, the train to Berlin takes 1 hour.
Brush up on your German basics as you will need these unless you are great at mime. Locals welcome your rudimentary attempts to communicate in the language and are mostly very patient and friendly.
Shops like cash, so have some euros handy.
Great little cafe just by the train station, just what you need before you eagerly set off at the crack of dawn to explore the city, heartily recommend the doughnuts too!
