Margaret River is a town in the South West of Western Australia, located in the valley of the eponymous Margaret River, 277 kilometres (172 mi) south of Perth. The surrounding area is the Margaret River Wine Region and has become known for its wine production and tourism, attracting an estimated 5(phone number hidden)sitors annually. Several hundred caves are located near Margaret River, all of them within Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park. Six of these are open to the public. The most famous of these is the multi-chambered Mammoth Cave, which lies 21 kilometres south of the town and contains fossils dating back over 35,000 years. The Margaret River area has acquired a range of synonyms for the collection of surf breaks nearby. Usually significant surfing competitions concentrate their locale to Margarets Main Break (aka Surfers Point) which breaks in the vicinity of Prevelly at the mouth of Margaret River.
Your Antonio Gaudi apartment was named and designed in the footsteps of the famous Spanish architect. Gaudi was inspired by the mud towns in the Sahara Desert in North Africa. He is famous for his unique ceramic tiling and organic shapes. Here in Margaret River Trevor is inspired by Gaudi's forms and has used broken glass from the studio of local Kent le Grand.
In summer and good weather the "White Elephant restaurant" and also "Sea Gardens Restaurant" are a scenic choice for breakfast and lunch overlooking "Gnarabup" swimming beach and the "Main Break' Surfers Point. During winter there are numerous restaurants in the town of Margaret River.
The bush surrounds will surprise you with a variety of bird calls.
Winery tours are available directly over the road at Llewellin's Guest House (website hidden) by appointment. [$150 per person , minimum 2 persons].

First thing struck me was Kangaroo's greeting me up close- & you can feed em anything vegetarian? Lovely Gaudi inspired cottage Clean well catered etc-No complaints Beautiful area. Great to meet so-called co-host Trevor who provided a homebrew shiraz for me & Host Kate left a bunch if chocolate roses for my betroathed for Valentines. Able to home-cook-perfect! Thankyou to Kate & Trevor- Perfect Airbnb hosts
The Gaudi apartment was just as described... quirky ,clean and well equipped including a rooster wake up call! Its perfectly positioned ,close to both beaches and wineries. Kate was a welcoming and helpful host.
Hi this was a delightful place to stay bit quirky , but perfectly placed for all we needed to see in Margaret River.
Trevor & Kate were both helpful and fun with local tips that proved valuable for us!
The place was great, clean quirky, and we had welcome packages on arrival and free wine!
Lovely, unique place in a great location (quiet and secluded but still close to MR township) exactly as described on airbnb.
Host Kate was very welcoming and more accommodating than we could have hoped for allowing us to use her own telephone to receive a very important call (thanks again Kate!).
Room was very clean, with all the amenities you could need (wifi works perfectly).
Great (and tremendously convenient) assortment breakfast and snack items provided topped off with a box of chocolates and bottle of wine.
Highly recommended in every way!
This was our perfect home away from home; quiet and private, close to the beach and town, comfortable and clean. We were spoiled with a lovely welcome basket of treats and enjoyed visiting with Kate and Trevor. They gave us more travel advice (lots of maps) and surf information (thanks for the lender) than we could have hoped for. Our two year old loved watering the grass, digging in the sand, and watching the kangaroos from the kitchen window! Thanks for everything. We hope to see you again soon.
We spent three nights at Gaudi and we would have stayed longer! What a peaceful and charming appartment it was!
All the small attentions left by our host Kate made us feel like home very quickly.
It is so kind from her to offer us all we need to breakfast as we might not have had the chance to buy food before arrival and there is no shop closer than 10min away and not always open.
We had a fantastic stay in that lovely house in the bush. If you want to make sure to see kangaroos this is the place to be. They are living in bushes all around and we could see many every day.
You'll be woke up by the roosters very early the first morning but you get used to it after that.
We would definitly go back to Gaudi Apartment... We miss it actually.
I think it is perfectly situated when you want to stay at one place to visit the region of Margaret River, from Dunsborough to Augusta.
Thank you Kate for this wonderful journey
