This corner room in our rambling three story house is comfortable & perfect for a quiet retreat or couple's get-away. In addition to the double bed, the day bed can fit an additional single adult or child. The bathroom is shared with the room next door [The Eyrie} and has a bath-tub with a high spout you can fit your head under. Downstairs, the large, open common space offers kitchen privileges for vegetarian food prep, a library/game room with fireplace & nearby wood stove warmth.

House Rules

Because I operate a recording studio on the third floor of the house, it is necessary for guests to be respectful of what is going on while they are visiting. The house is very open and sound travels easily. The best fit would be for guests who have a quiet lifestyle. If you like to party and stay up late making noise, this is not the place for you. Our kitchen is open for vegetarian meal preparation only. Alcohol is fine. In the winter and during our spring mud season, you may need a four-wheel drive vehicle to get here. Thank you!

Kristina's place in in the middle of the forest. Very cozy and comfortable. It was real private area, not the house for rent, so I could feel the life and humanity. I really enjoyed staying here even though it was raining heavily. Yep. wifi is slow, there is no shower booth (only…

We were made to feel immediately at home in Kristina's house. And this precisely because we were given the space to share her amazing property. It is an eclectic and yet open space, filled with light and peopled by books, instruments, and three cats. The views are exceptional, as…

I’ve lived in Vermont for 35 years and continue to find new things here. I’ve raised three kids in two different off-grid houses and built my livelihood from scratch many times over so that I could stay in this beautiful place. Since 2005 I’ve run a recording studio [Pepperbox St…

The property we own is a 14-acre tract at the top of a hill at 1900 feet, over-looking the Chelsea valley and Green Mountains beyond. We are close to a small village but tucked up in the hills about f…
