The space
***The property is small with a country feel close to city, but you can take just a 10 minute ride on the bus to head to the Fringe, Adelaide Festival or other events in the city (bus stop 30 secs away). Or ride your hire bike (available at local library or other places in town) through the parklands to get to the city and discover all of these things below:
* Adelaide City Markets (highly recommended)
* The Market Shed (Sunday Only - highly recommended)
* Plant 4 - Local market (highly recommended)
* Universities (Adelaide & UniSA)
*The East End - Rundle Mall
* The Adelaide Fringe
* The Garden of Unearthly Delights
* Adelaide Festival Theatre
* Clipsal 500 Motor Race
* Adelaide Parklands and Himeji Gardens
* Adelaide Oval
* Gouger Street Restaurant Precinct
* China Town
* The Museum, Art Gallery, State Library, Migration Museum
* Royal Adelaide Hospital
* The tram to Glenelg Beach ( 10 minutes walk to tram stop and go all the way via tram). The tram has wifi.

***This lovely historic cottage offers you:
A comfy queen-sized mattress bed and fresh linen& towels, and tea/coffee.
If cold, you can warm up with the heater and cosy quilt in your room. There is also a fan available for cooling down on hot days. There is plenty of wardrobe, drawer and shelf space in your bedroom and a day-bed for relaxing in your private space overlooking the garden.
You are welcome to make yourselves tea and coffee in the kitchen - there is a great variety of tea and we have 'decaf' & non-'decaf' plunger coffee (all fair-trade). There are not any cooking facilities.
The room is suitable for one or a couple or friends happy to share a bed.

Guest access
General access.

Other things to note
I first listed my property in late Sept 2014, letting people know they could book from mid-October on my return. Within a matter of a few days on my return I got 2 bookings and an enquiry for the cricket! Thank you founding members of 16 Hawker Street.

Very close to lovely parklands, local cafes (at least 4, one 30 metres away that has great breakfasts - not open Mondays), a Greek restaurant about 60 metres down the road and the city. Local farmers' and producers market on Wednesday and Friday aft-eve and Saturday (9am -1pm; 5 mins walk). For those who love golf, we are located near to the public North Adelaide Golf Course, this includes a par 3 course. A very short bus ride will take you to the Golf Course Administration Centre.

I am an archaeologist and cultural heritage manager/consultant. I travel around the world quite a bit looking at fascinating natural and human-made things . I have lived in Glasgow, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, and Swansea for work and have moved back home to Sunny Adelaide (with a 2-year stint in Canberra somewhere in between). My favourite places to be so far include Cusco region and Machu Picchu, most of Greece :+}, Maltese temples and Valetta, Central and Eastern Turkey, pre-tourist Sumatra, Sulawesi, & Lombok, landscape of Pingguo County, in west-central Guangxi, China. I first listed my property in late Sept, letting people know they could book from mid-October on my return. Within a matter of a few days on my return I got 2 bookings and an enquiry for the cricket! Thank you founding members of 16 Hawker Street. In conversation with them I have decided to start a founding members' 'special deal' for the first 10 people to book with me.

During your stay
Like many people. I am a busy person. But if there is time in my schedule I love sharing a tea/coffee/hot chocolate and welcome treats when my guests arrive or at another time in their stay. Also guests may contact me at anytime on my mobile with questions or for help if there are issues they encounter whilst travelling about Adelaide.
