Comfy bed for better sleep

The black-out blinds and extra bedding are loved by guests.
A rustic studio attached to the family home, with its own entrance. Refresh with a complimentary cheese board. Enjoy the plant filled space where you can enjoy a breakfast of fresh bread, eggs, cereal, milk, butter, jam, honey & coffee. At night light the fireplace with the wood provided. Take the picnic basket and rug provided, & explore the Mountain.

We are located on the Main Road leading into Gallery Walk. If you are sensitive to road noise we might not be the perfect place for you.

The studio is connected to the left of the main house. It is fenced off and private. We do not use the deck or garden around the studio during your stay.

Other things to note
We supply wood for an evening fire during your stay, however if you would like some extra we can supply it at $30 a basket.

Neighbourhood highlights

Tamborine Mountain is located in the Gold Coast hinterland, only an hour from Brisbane. 500m above sea level, it is always a little cooler up on the Mountain. Pack your jumpers and snuggle in next to the fire with one of the locally made wines or spirits on offer.

Gallery Walk is a great place to stroll and explore. Start with a coffee and freshly made pastry's at Franquette Bakery. Browse the clothing and beautiful homewares at Bohemian Farmhouse. Stroll up to Fortitude Brewing Company for lunch or some afternoon live music and end at The Aerie Bar for a beautifully presented gin and tapas.

If you are more adventurous, head out to one of the many bushwalks. The sub-tropical rainforests, with its soothing waterfalls and tranquil rockpool creeks, will rejuvenate any visitor. As you walk you will glimpse the views over the side of the Mountain - reminding you how high up you really are. There is a walk for every fitness level. Our favourite is Curtis Falls. With a gentle slope down to a beautiful waterfall, you can reward yourself with a great coffee or ice-cream at the end.

Go to Main Street for a slower pace. This is where the locals wander on the weekend. Shop for clothes at The Closet, pick up some local produce and fresh flowers at Josephs, enjoy locally made pastries and coffee at Main Street Providore and discover unique pieces at Butler and Grace.

Finish the day off by packing up a bottle of wine from Witches Chase Winery, some cheese from Fortitude Brewing Company and head to the Main Western Road Lookout where you can watch the sun go down. The uninterrupted view off the western side of the Mountain means you can see for miles while enjoying your picnic. Take a blanket and snuggle up while you enjoy the view.

The Mountain is also lucky to have two lovely markets you can explore on the second and last Sunday of every month. The Green Shed is open every Sunday. Local produce is delivered from local growers. Fantastic seasonal fruit, vegetables, flowers and baked goods with no food miles. There are also road side stalls dotted around the Mountain where you can find a real bargain. There is one across the road that sells a bag of avocados for two dollars, so keep an eye out when you stay with us!
