This room isn’t a room—it’s a 55 sqm two- bedroom apartment that embodies urban efficiency. Bold colours and graphic prints, combined with clean white lines, create a modern take on a classic Scandinavian style.
Both kids and adults have their own space, and there’s plenty of built-in storage to keep the living spaces clear and calm.
Close to the airport with city views, ample parking, and elevator and escalator access, each listing shares an adjacent kitchen/dining room and kids’ hang-out area with the other guests.
From arrival at IKEA we were welcomed like part of the family. It was lovely to see our inner city pad all ready for us to sleep the night. Our hosts (both IKEA and AirBnB) went out of their way to ensure that our evening was special, including a great Swedish dinner, pyjames and robes, interesting company, activities for the kids and a behind the scenes tour of IKEA. It is not often that you get such an opportunity to sleep in the big blue box but we were lucky to do something different and special. Thanks for having us and the kids say a big thank you too!!

Originally from Småland, a tiny town in Sweden, I have travelled the globe for 71 years meeting amazing people—and discovering how they turn a house into a home. I settled in Tempe, Sydney in 2011 and it’s these experiences that make me such a fan of Airbnb.
Besides Homes and Interiors, my interests include Design, Sustainability, and yes… meatballs [but only for the lingonberry jam ;)]
I speak Swedish and English (and 41 other languages) fluently, so any questions, just ask!
