Time to recharge! 5bd/3.5ba secluded mountain cabin located in the foothills of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, a 15 minute drive to the historic town of Saluda, NC. Whether you are returning from a rafting trip down the Green River, hiking one of the beautiful waterfall trails or shopping in one of the cute mountain towns that surround this area, the rolling mountain vistas will instantly relax your soul as you enter into this comfortably decorated log home.

The space
This home is truly a get-away from the hustle of it all. Located up a winding gravel mountain road, The Cabin on Miller Mountain is perfect for the nature lover in all of us. The home will comfortably sleep 6 ADULTS and up to 8 children (in bunkbeds with no one over 125lbs sleeping on top bunks). It is the perfect multi-family get-away!
Upon leaving the interstate you will travel along a winding paved road until coming to our neighborhood. From there you will have about a 5 minute drive up a gravel mountain road. It is recommended that if you are coming in winter weather you have All Wheel or Four Wheel Drive in case of snow. When you reach the house the following items will be provided: toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo and conditioner, bar soap in each shower, pump soap at all bathroom sinks, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, Keurig Coffee Pot with 1 pkg of 12 coffee pods, a small gas grill and charcoal grill are on site, WiFi, TV with basic DirecTV package, washer/dryer. The Cabin on Miller Mountain is on well water and a septic system so please be gentle with our plumbing.

Guest access
While staying at The Cabin on Miller Mountain, you and your family have access to the entire house as well as the garage where you will find a ping pong table.

Other things to note
The cabin is located in the woods at the top of the mountain and a well is the water source. Please conserve water during your stay. It is recommended that guests stagger showers and water usage during the day to prevent the well from "running dry". It can take up to 12 hours for it to fill back up again.

We recommend that you plan some of your meals and grocery shop prior to your arrival as most of our guests don't want to head back down the mountain once they arrive! Enjoy breakfast at the house, followed by a day of activity in one of the many towns that are within 45 minute drive. In Saluda there is The Gorge, America's Steepest and Fastest Canopy Zip-line Tour and Green River Adventures, where you can plan for your adrenaline rush! Hendersonville and Landrum are perfect for the treasure hunter with all of their thrift and second hand stores. Tryon, home to the International Equestrian Center, is sure to capture the heart of any horse lover. And Asheville, oh beautiful Asheville, home to the Biltmore House and Estate upon which anyone could lose themselves in the nostalgia of the Guilded Era of the early 1900's. Enjoy some of their wines during a wine tasting or fabulous farm to table meals at several of the restaurants located within the estate. Asheville is also home to many breweries, large ones like Sierra Nevada and New Belgium and smaller ones like Wicked Weed and High-Wire. Upon your return home, relax on the screened in back porch or the large great room and make plans for a delightful homemade meal in the well equipped kitchen. After dinner, enjoy one of the board games, a round of Foosball at the table in the den, or a friendly game of ping pong in the large garage outbuilding. And for those who can't live without video games, there is a Nintendo Wii with several of the basic games. But really, The Cabin on Miller Mountain is all about enjoying the company of friends and family, talking with one another, enjoying home cooked meals around a large table and unplugging from the craziness that is most of our lives.

My family purchased The Cabin on Miller Mountain as a place to get away from the busy life we lead in Charleston, SC. In Saluda we take the time to play board games, hike to one of the many water falls, tube down the Green River, or zip-line through the canopy of The Gorge. We take time to laugh with each other and explore together. We hope that you and your family will enjoy our home and the area as much as we do!!
