Tucked behind a row of period houses on a quiet road, with the front door hidden, this Grade II* listed cottage has been carefully renovated using local artisans, and is beautifully furnished throughout.
The cottage has a characterful, well-equipped kitchen. The sitting room is light and airy and has an open fire, and smart TV. Next to the lounge on the 1st floor is a bathroom filled with Bramley products. Your restful bedroom is above, under a traditional Wiltshire mansard roof

The space
You’ll be comfortable and calm here in minutes, surrounded by exposed Cotswold stone walls and beams. It's a quirky cottage set over 3 floors. The kitchen at ground level, the lounge and bathroom on the 1st floor and the bedroom on the top floor. You can park your car directly outside of the house. There's no outside space but it's a 30 seconds walk to the river and park.

Other things to note
It's not suitable for children under 6 years if you have mobility issues as there are stairs to the bedroom.

Please note that the bedroom is on the top floor and the bathroom the floor below.

Neighbourhood highlights

It's located close to the centre of town, walk around the local park, along the river Avon or further to the National Trust village of Lacock. There are loads of gorgeous walks from the house that take you to open countryside and to the beautiful North Wessex Way. Cycle to the ancient stone circle of Avebury, mainly off-road along the 403 cycle route. The Gladstone Arms, The Three Crowns and plenty of restaurants are a stroll. Waitrose and Tesco is a 5 minute walk. Stonehenge, a 45-minute drive, Avebury and the largest artificial prehistoric mound in Europe at Silbury Hill, is just 20 minutes. Visit Bath, it's 11 minutes by train (the station is a 10 minute walk across the park). Don't forget the villages often used as film locations, Castle Coombe and Lacock. Or perhaps Corsham (think Poldark), where you can also see world class art at Corsham Court.
