Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
Nestled in the middle of a picturesque 40-acre vineyard, this spacious but cosy four-bedroom farmhouse is situated in the heart of the world-renowned McLaren Vale wine region. Relax with a glass of wine under the pergola or sit by the chiminea fire as you watch kangaroos hop through the vines at dusk. With views of grapevines from just about every room in the house, inviting outdoor areas and plenty of space to spread out, you’ll feel right at home in this relaxed abode.

The space
Located on a gorgeous piece of land our family has been growing grapes and olives on for more than 30 years, this rustic, humble home is one-of-a-kind. Settle in with a complimentary bottle of our award-winning wine on the bench overlooking the vines and the Willunga hills.

You’ll be just five-kilometres from the main street of McLaren Vale and moments from most cellar doors and the Fleurieu Peninsula, yet you'll feel a whole world away as you relax at this private and tranquil vineyard estate.

Make use of the large covered patio next to rows of growing Tempranillo grapes. Sip on a glass of wine after a day of visiting the nearby cellar doors or light up the BBQ and chiminea for a peaceful evening under the stars. We provide a bit of wood, kindling, and firelighters for your stay.

Inside, the living area with air conditioning offers leather lounges situated in front of a flat-screen TV with Netflix and Stan, plus a gas-powered fireplace. The open-plan dining area flows into the fully-equipped farmhouse kitchen with everything you’ll need to cook at home. We provide fresh olive oil from our property, Australian milk, instant coffee, tea, sugar, assorted dried spices, and filtered water. Gather for meals together in the formal dining area with an eight-seater timber table or dine al fresco in the leafy garden.

Four bedrooms sleep eight guests comfortably, all equipped with heated blankets to keep you warm all winter long. The master bedroom benefits from a plush queen bed, plenty of storage space and ensuite bathroom. The second and third bedrooms are both replete with double beds, while the fourth bedroom has two single beds.

The main bathroom has a rustic timber vanity, separate shower, bathtub and toilet. Guests can also utilise the in-unit laundry with a washing machine, dryer, clothesline and iron.

Guest access
During your stay, you and your group will have the entire farmhouse to yourself. Please make yourself at home!
In addition to growing grapes, our family also produces small-batch, hand-crafted wine, and we run a boutique cellar door just down the road from the farmhouse. We've been a staple in the region for more than 30 years and we'd love to share our wine with you. Our cosy cellar door is located about 1 km down the road from the farmhouse and there are at least three other cellar doors within walking distance.

Other things to note
Please read and respect the house rules. This is very much appreciated, thank you! Before your arrival, we will also share a house guide that contains instructions on how to access the property, use certain appliances, and anything else you may need to know.

Because the house is in the heart of the vineyard you will likely find some harmless insects sneaking into the house from the vines; the main culprit is the tiny Portuguese millipede. While we thoroughly clean the house before/after each guest arrives, we want you to know ahead of time that you're likely to see them during your stay. These are totally harmless insects and can either be left alone (and they'll leave you alone) or you can use the insect spray we provide/sweep them up with a dustpan. This is a normal part of life for anyone living on a vineyard in McLaren Vale with lots of open indoor/outdoor space. We hope you'll chalk it up as part of an authentic, real experience!

Neighbourhood highlights

Our property is located on a beautiful and quiet tree-lined street in the world-famous McLaren Vale wine region. While our farmhouse is nestled amongst the vines, we're a short 5-minute drive to the Main Street of McLaren Vale where there are shops, restaurants, and grocery stores. We're a 15 minute drive from the beach (although you could bike there instead!) and about 40 minutes south of the Adelaide hills.
