The space
The room has a new twin size mattress w another twin mattress tucked under neath that can be turned into TWO twin beds or one XL KING size bed.
There is a wicker dresser, armoire w/closet & drawers, a table w/ chairs & light, a couch for lounging.
I love comfort so I splurged on your bed linens to keep you cozy.
The room faces the street but the noise is minimal. The double lined curtains keep noise and light out if you wish, but the room gets a glorious golden sunlight in the morning around 9 am.

The House:
The Mexican Victorian decor will give you an authentic Mission experience. Hardwood floors & classic Redwood panels. A wonderful breakfast room in the back of the house where the friendly birds enjoy visiting the feeder & herb garden. The stove is a beautiful old 1940's gas stove & there is a hot water thermos on 24/7 for instant tea.
I like to treat guests as I would like to be treated so I am meticulous about cleaning in between guests; I disinfect your room & the bathroom very well, door knobs & all. I clean the toilet everyday, sometimes twice a day & because I take a bath about every other night I wash the bathtub every time-the fabulous claw foot bathtub is my pride & joy so feel free to run yourself a relaxing bath.
The house is comfortably clean meaning I like a clean house but with a warm & relaxed atmosphere & all the house plants provide a very fresh energy.
There will be other guests staying at the house as well it can be a combination of professionals here for work or travelers, though sometimes we hardly see eachother.
I have one sweet kitty who is an adventure cat that likes to go on camping trips and bike rides around SF - you can follow him on Instagram at: catdoggatoperro
Street parking, there is also a parking lot kitty corner at Mission & Cesar Chavez that costs $15 per night and a parking garage at 21st & Bartlett that charges $27-$35 for a day. I can also tell you the secret parking spots near the house if you dont mind walking a few blocks.
We wear slippers or flip flops inside the house there is a shoe cubby at the entrance to slip off your shoes.
Enjoy smoking cigarettes outside but please no other drugs.

Other things to note
About Me:
I am a 48yr old Latina that runs a cultural store in the Mission. My business has been in the community for over 20 years, so I have gotten to know the Mission very intimately, here is a link to a guidebook I did for Airbnb about local landmarks. https://www.airbnb.com/things-to-do/insider-guidebook/108?location=San%20Francisco%2C%20CA%2C%20United%20States&source=¤tTab=place_tab My motto is Mi Casa es su Casa, I am courteous, helpful-you will love my Latin hospitality. I am also an experienced traveler, the last trip I did was to the Caribbean in Honduras (fantastic!) & I am now daydreaming about going to Colombia - aaaahhhhh. I am from Mexico originally but grew up in the Bay Area & have lived in SF for 25 years (in this house for 17 ). I also love to dance all kinds of styles but Brazilian Samba is my passion. My other hobbies are hiking, camping, fashion, antiques & history. I also speak several languages; j'etudie Francais, parlo un po d'Italiano, un poquinho de portuguese Brasiliero & Español of course. I can work a lot so you may see me little, but I am happy to share the best places locals love that are not in guidebooks.
Oh & a free SALSA class is included in your stay for the ultimate Mission District experience-I can teach you salsa in 15 mins - really! it is that easy...and just enough to fake the rest.

About the Inner Mission District-
"La Mision"
Centrally located close to downtown, it is the city's Latino district & has been the gateway for most new immigrants, initially Italian, Irish, then predominantly Latino since the 1970's .
It is famous for its historic buildings, Mission burritos (the best in Northern California), grungy artistic scene & it's colorful murals.
Though the Mission still retains it's gritty 'barrio' (hood) flavor the neighborhood has been undergoing a second wave of gentrification lately and has been experiencing with an influx of technology money.
The Mission district is large & complex, with varying socioeconomic areas, clusters of mini-communities, and specialty stores found nowhere else. A few years back Utne Reader rated the Inner Mission the 2nd coolest place to live in the US (first was New Orlean's Garden District).
Like in any other cities there are sections of the Mission that can be high crime but don't let that scare you, as a woman I have walked at all hours & never have felt unsafe -awareness & attitude is your best protection. Native San Franciscans know it as one of the 'cool & hip' districts with a Latin flavor & a funky Bohemian edge as well. In case you missed it, here is an interview I did for Airbnb regarding Mission landmarks. https://www.airbnb.com/things-to-do/insider-guidebook/108?location=San%20Francisco%2C%20CA%2C%20United%20States&source=¤tTab=place_tab

Hola! I love to travel, the last place I went was the Caribbean in Honduras (awesome) & I have been day dreaming about my next destination-Colombia. I also love to dance-all kinds but Samba is my religion! For an authentically Mission experience there is a free Salsa lesson included in your stay- I can teach you in 15 mins -yes it's that easy & just enough to fake the rest... I also love gardening, culture, fashion, camping, history and living in SF. I like Airbnb because I can taste the travel energy without the actual travel, I have met very interesting & wonderful people & I love showing guests the best of SF life. The best compliment I can receive is when my guests want to return, it makes me happy. For 23 years, I owned one of the last Latin cultural stores in the community Casa Bonampak, it was a landmark legacy business which gave me a very intimate & spiritual connection to the Mission- hence why I was picked to film an Airbnb success story commercial you may have seen on u-tube called "Airbnb Nancy" - what a blast! You can also see the guide I made for Airbnb's Mission Institutions: https://www.airbnb.com/things-to-do/insider-guidebook/108?location=San%20Francisco%2C%20CA%2C%20United%20States&source=¤tTab=place_tab ...p.s. once you know Salsa you also know Cumbia, Merengue, Bachata... https://airbnb.com/h/oceanbeachroomsanfrancisco https://airbnb.com/h/themissionroomsanfrancisco https://airbnb.com/h/thebuddharoomsanfrancisco
