Soak up the views during your stay.
Love the outdoors but want comfort? Stay in our Safari Gum Tree Tent at a private waterfront location. Enjoy a double bed with linen, outdoor bath, and flushing toilet. Relax on your deck, explore trails, and listen to bellbirds under the stars. Just over an hour from Sydney, it’s perfect for a weekend getaway or romantic escape. Swap your sleeping bag for comfort and experience nature your way — simple, peaceful, unforgettable.

The space
Surrounded by nature and fresh, clean air, this is a truly spectacular getaway. Down a long driveway, at the far end of the property, you’ll discover our safari tent by the dam, nestled among trees and wildlife — keep an eye out for wallabies and koalas!

The views are breathtaking by day, and come nighttime, it’s pure magic. In winter, enjoy the cozy inside fireplace. The tent features a double bed, an outside bath, and a full outdoor area with firepit, floor cushions, seating, and BBQ — perfect for unplugging and immersing yourself in nature.

This experience truly has the “WOW” factor — glamping among the trees with the only bath and shower at the venue just for you. Access is via secured gates, and you’ll drive down to our lakes, with the last 100m on a grit road — please stay on the road at all times. Parking is available at the tent.

Guest access
You’re welcome to explore the full ranch, with forest walks and open spaces all around. Please stay at least 60 meters away from other venues on the property to ensure everyone enjoys the peace and privacy they came for.

If you use the kayaks, please put them back on the island otherwise we have to charge you a return fee of $50 per kayak.

Other things to note
We do not have Wi Fi, talk to each other, play board games, and pretend it's 1995. We do have Wi Fi at the top of the property for emergencies.

Looking for a romantic getaway, this is the place. We had a lot of yesses!

We are dog friendly charging $20 per dog, per visit. As much as we are dog friendly there is no fenced dog enclosure with the venue. (no cats allowed)

Please do not lock your dog up in the tent unsupervised at any time.

Please bring your own firewood, we recommend for a two day stay - two bags of wood logs, one bag of kindling, one pack of firelighters and a lighter. If its winter and you like to run the fireplace all day we would suggest to double this amount.

Neighbourhood highlights

Our is Estate is only a 5 min. drive from Kurrajong Village. Kurrajong has a 100% living in the country vibe but only an hour and a bit from Sydney CBD.

We at the Estate are choosing a slower pace of life. This doesn’t mean that we don’t have a lot to do or have no exciting places to visit. It just means they don’t let the hustle and bustle of the rat race bog them down. In The Hawkesbury we like relax a little more and aren’t afraid to slow down.

The pleasures of life in the country are unlimited. There, one lives amidst nature and there is greenery all around. We have amazing hikes and historical buildings like the Ebenezer Church a heritage-listing, many open spaces and houses are well spread out. Green paddocks, cute little country shops and cafés on the main road of Kurrajong, Kurmond and don’t forget the farmers market in Richmond.

So come and visit and enjoy 'the Hawkesbury spirit.
