Other things to note
• Parking: Free parking is available. Please note that our spot also stores a few items, but there’s still plenty of room to park.

• Our portable air conditioners, one in the living room and one in the bedroom, have both quiet and loud settings for your comfort. Since permanent ACs aren't allowed in the building, we've provided these top-of-the-line portable units. The ACs are portable units with an exhaust hose running out the window, as shown in the photos. This is the best and approved setup for the building, designed to keep you cool on hotter days in Bondi. While it may allow some light outside noise, most guests find it’s not an issue given the close proximity to Bondi Beach.

• Hot Water: The hot water tank is small and takes 20-30 minutes to refill between showers. It’s the largest tank that fits the apartment, and most guests find it manageable. We hope it works well for you too!

• Lift Access: There are no stairs from the car park/garage to the apartment, and the lift may be unavailable for about 10 days a year. If you depend on lift access, we recommend not booking, as we can’t offer refunds when the lift is out of order. Fire stairs are available during these times. Thank you for understanding!

Neighbourhood highlights

Definitively Sydney, Bondi is one of the world’s great beaches. It’s the closest ocean beach to the city centre (8km away), has consistently good waves, and is great for a refreshing swim (the average water temperature is a considerate 21°C). If the sea’s angry, try the child-friendly saltwater sea baths at either end of the beach. Locals do their morning laps in these pools as the ocean splashes up against the sides. Quite a spectacular daily routine.

Two surf clubs – Bondi and North Bondi – patrol the beach between sets of red-and-yellow flags, positioned to avoid the worst rips and holes. Thousands of unfortunates have to be rescued from the surf each year (enough to make a TV show about it), so don’t become a statistic – swim between the flags. Or if not, make sure to keep your feet on the sand when swimming and do not go too far out. Seriously!

Surfers carve up sandbar breaks at either end of the beach; it’s a good place for learners, too. The beach has an outdoor workout area and barbecues scattered around. Coin operated ones at the north end. But don't bring booze to your picnic – it's banned on the beach. But if you happened to accidentally do so, put it in non alcoholic bottles so no one can tell.
