A warm welcome awaits you at this 250-year-old traditionally built (cob wall) detached cottage tucked away in a small village overlooking a small vale.
Set at the end of a narrow unadopted 80-meter cul-de-sac lane you can be assured of a peaceful time.
A maintained garden, with circular, heated summer house, cushioned seating for 6+ circular table, within 10 minutes drive of the A30.
Dogs are very welcome, I ask you use the blankets for the sofas and request you do not allow dogs on the beds.

The space
A social, well-proportioned and equipped kitchen with a good dual oven, 5 hob-burner & grill, seating for 6 and more if you use the bench & tailor-made cushion from the living room.
A cozy living room with an Aga log burner for the colder evenings to hunker down with oil fired central heating (radiators) in every room and hot water and powerful shower.
Traditional features have been kept, with recently decorated spaces and improved light upstairs with Velux windows.
It's a quiet village, so not a place for big outdoor parties - but a great place to rest and relax when you're not sampling all that Cornwall and Devon has to offer with most major attractions within 40-50 minutes so get in the hustle and bustle, but return to peace and tranquility.
The rear garden is not contained by high fences or gates, so does allow for four-legged friends to wander off outside the garden and down the pathway back to the house or possibly into the field if the dogs are small enough to squeeze under the gate. (Worth noting my mid-sized cat could not get into the field under the gate)
So escapologist dogs may not be suited to these surroundings.

Guest access
Access to the house will be via the side door up a step into the kitchen, this saves the heat going out of the cozy living room.
You have full access to the front, rear and side gardens.
The unadopted cul-de-sac driveway to the house is 80 meters or so long, is narrow in places, but I have driven camper vans and estate cars regularly to the cottage, parking for one car is at the front of the house with plenty of parking at the bottom of the lane or in the nearby road (70 meters away from the lane) your welcome email will give you all the details.
The cottage has 1 King, 1 Double and 2 single beds, 1 bed being an occasional use bed.

Other things to note
The changeover team will be available for any unexpected items, but there's booklet for assistance on anticipated issues like joining the wifi networks, resetting the oven clock etc.
Also there are locals in the village who can help, again all of which will be covered in your welcome mail.

Hi and welcome to my cottage, which was my home for 9 years, and still is on the occasion I can bring my young son down having moved to be closer to him. So what better way to keep it than to share it with others, I hope you like what I have done to make this cottage a homely, practical and relaxing place to be, whether relaxing in the garden space, enjoy the warm weather, night sky satellite and shooting star spotting or getting cosy with a good fire, a film after a great meal in or out, you'll enjoy the tranquility of the village . .
