Moon Tree Yurt, a traditional Mongolian yurt with timber framed outdoor living space. Set on a private rural property in the magical Cowichan Valley. Just moments from Skutz Falls and Cowichan Provincial Park. Surrounded by nature with basic amenities the yurt offers a sustainable, one of a kind "Glamping' experience. Adventure awaits you with Cowichan Valley Trail for epic hiking, biking and many more outdoor activities. Lake Cowichan a short drive away for boating, swimming and tubing fun!

The space
Ideal for couples. Our artisan built timber framed outdoor living space and Yurt provides a unique place to rest, relax and enjoy the beauty of the outdoors.

Moon Tree is located on our 3 acre farm near the lake town of Lake Cowichan. Our family of three is passionate about living close with nature. We have animals, flowers and vegetable gardens.

Come share the beauty of this special place with us. The Yurt includes a cozy queen bed for a unique way to experience the rustic beauty of the West Coast.

The outdoor kitchen includes a BBQ, coffee pot and basic kitchen cooking utensils to make a camp meal. We provide potable water for drinking and cooking. Non potable is available by foot pump in the kitchen as well as in the yurt for washing up.
We are primarily off-grid, although some electrical is supplied. We do encourage our guests to unplug and embrace the natural surroundings without TV or traditional lighting and amenities. Lanterns and flashlights are provided as well as a propane stove to keep you warm and comfortable while in the Yurt year round.
A large fire pit is located just outside the Yurt with picnic table and benches to cook or roast marshmallows. We do offer the first bundle of wood and kindling complimentary but do charge a modest fee if more is required.

Other things to note: Please drive SLOW on the property and surrounding roads. Children and cats playing.

Outdoor shower is off-grid and run by battery pump. Water is heated by the sun.

Start the campfire, gaze at the stars, walk the woods and swim the streams! Come see us soon at Moon Tree Yurt.
