Great restaurants nearby

Guests say there are excellent options for dining out.
In the heart of the Barossa! Older style home - not fancy, but very comfortable and perfectly located in the centre of Tanunda. Tal Haus is on the main street - a 3 minute stroll to some of the region's finest restaurants and bars.

Built in 1928, it's a little piece of Barossa history in a great location. Good beds and linen, big screen TV, pantry items and provisions for a cooked breakfast supplied. Tal Haus offers all the comforts of home - perfect for couples or families.

The space
There are two bedrooms with big comfortable queen beds. The large living space offers dining for up to 6 people and one of the sofas can be converted into a queen bed also.

The kitchen has everything you need, so you can cook up a storm or wander down to one of the local eateries. Full use of laundry facilities, free WiFi and access to Streaming Services so you can watch all the latest television shows and movies.

There is a cosy nook on the front porch where you can watch the world go by - facing on to the Main Street of Tanunda.

One bathroom with shower and a seperate toilet at the end of the hallway.

Other things to note
Tal Haus is on the main street, which means it is really accessible and easy to get to things but it can be busy during the day. Also, as mentioned in the amenities section, there is only one bathroom with a seperate toilet.

As stated in the listing, this is an older style home - we do not offer a pristine or hotel type experience but a homely well furnished property, with a few quirks, great beds, good quality linen and local produce for breakfast.

Ferment Asian - one of Australia's finest modern Asian. Not only is the food great, the award winning wine list is something to behold - http://www.fermentasian.com.au

Vino Lokal - Wine Bar, Restaurant and Tasting room you can sample some of the region's finest from wine producers. It is the home of Artisans of the Barossa which includes John Duvall, Hobbs of the Barossa, Spinifex, Sons of Eden and Schwarz Wine Co. And the food offerings from the Chef, Ryan Edwards are absolutely sensational. http://www.fermentasian.com.au

Musque - is the epitome of a modern eatery and bar, they have over 500 gins to sample but you can get a decent bottle of local wine, grab a burger or enjoy a more sophisticated dining experience. https://www.musque.com.au/food

If these don't float your boat you can check out Z Wines, 1918 or grab a quick bite and a coffee from Blackbird Cafe.

If you want to cook up your own dinner - the local supermarket (just three doors down) has a great range of local produce as well as the usual super market fare.

On the Cultural front - the Barossa Regional Gallery is just five minutes walk away too - you can see the latest exhibition and check out the magnificent and world renowned Hill and Son Organ.

I am anArts and Cultural Consultant with my own company Play Your Part. Married, 2 kids living in the beautiful Barossa Valley. We are not locals but have lived in the region since 2009 and have gotten to know the place really well. I am a pretty social person - I love a long lunch, visiting galleries and museums or a day out with friends at the pub but could quite happily spend a day at home in front of the fire.
