Quiet & Peaceful. A Guest Studio in a small shipping container at the back of a house.
Located on the Bellarine Peninsula.
Inside - woodstove fire, No kitchen inside, its more like a hotel room. 2 outside shared entertaining areas with BBQ and outside bath, shower and sauna. Wifi, chrome cast incl.
Have a shower in the half-wine barrel (it's wine country!). Not a place for parties or drinking outside late into the evenings :) 2 Small dogs on-premise, must be happy with dogs.

The space
@themewsstleonards

The shipping container sits about 4 meters off the back of the main house. The main house basically opens out on the shared yard spaces and the container. There are screens sectioning off the back yard to give you a bit of privacy. The back gardens are a shared space with both of us (myself and my partner Andy, the resident Brit!) and our 2 doggo's Barkley & Lollipops Woofington. Lollipops is brand new and a tiny puppy - please don't feed them! Please cuddle them and give them lots of pats! they love that :)

**Currently due to COVID we do not enter into the back yard, we shut the back of the house down and leave it for guests only, Barkley and Pops, however, has a doggy door so will still come and sniff and say hello. There are 2 separate outdoor entertaining areas, cook up a BBQ, and hang out in the sunshine. Inside there is a mini bar fridge (no microwave or other cooking items inside, it’s more set up like a hotel room) No cooking allowed inside the tiny house.

(again, please don’t leave food lying around for Barkley & Lollipops to snatch. Some foods are really bad for puppy’s like cooked bones and many other things.)

*Non-Smoking near the Fuego
*Smoking allowed near the BBQ
*Only registered guests over, no friends or additional guests you will be charged the additional guest fee per guest. (I don’t mind if they pop buy for 30 mins but inviting a group of peeps to hang with you for an afternoon or evening is not allowed)

A note on NOISE
• Firstly we want you to enjoy yourself.
• Use the outdoor living spaces (BBQ area and Fuego back area) but please make sure all noise (voices and music) is reduced to a very faint whisper after 9.30 pm to ensure our neighbours are not affected by noise.
**This is a strict rule. If you are outside please head inside the tiny house after 9.30pm and shut the door. If you are loud I will come and tell you to be quiet.

The bay is a short 7 mins walk, pop down to the water with the bodyboards or head in for some Netflix.

We have 2 bicycles with helmets, locks and lights for guests to use. The bike rental fee is $5 for a half-day (4 hours), or $10 for a full day (4+ hours) per bike, per day, using the honesty jar system.

One side of the container is a BBQ, the other side of the container is where there is an outside bath and shower, a tropical oasis with hot and cold water and a small fire pit underneath for those winter nights. Screens are in place here to help with privacy.

Infrared Sauna is available for you to use. No additional cost but **Please review the house Rule and safety manual for the Sauna before using.

There are boogie boards to use as Port Phillip Bay is only 700 meters walk away.

The container has a heater and fan for the summer time. On super hot days it tends to cool down quickly and the tower fan does a good job.
Please, please, please would you look around and switch off the lights/fan/heater when heading out for the day and checking out - I love my planet!

Barkley Woofington is the resident pooch. The small but mighty vocal Cairn Terrier will let us know when you’ve arrived, tails always wagging and he can be a bit of a Houdini so gates shut at all times.

We’re generally home, we both work from home. If we are not going to be around when you are staying I’ll let you know.

Ideal for a weekend getaway, wedding accommodation and also perfect for those who are comfortable with private sleeping quarters but shared backyard with both of us and Barkley.

NOISE
• Firstly we want you to enjoy yourself.
• Use the outdoor living spaces (BBQ area and Fuego back area) but please make sure all noise (voices and music) is reduced to silence after 9.30 pm to ensure our neighbours are not affected by noise. This is a strict rule. If you are outside please head inside the tiny house after 9.30pm.

Shower: When showering, best to open the windows to let airflow in, there isn’t an exhaust fan so it can get steamy at times.

Minibar on-site for your convenience using an honesty Jar system so i can pay it forward to future guests.

Wine, wine water and wine...and a wedding here and there too! Come and check out the award-winning wineries. Drive to Queenscliffe for a day, head around the Esplanade to Portarlington and watch the ferry arrive or head to the water for a swim, go fishing off the pier followed by a cool drink at the local St Leonards pub.
The tiny house is around 800m from the beach (through the reserve and straight down beach road )
10 min bike ride to the main street (about 3kms to the main street)
It is a residential area and so we do have a quiet from 9.30pm policy which i am sure you will respect :)

Love Animals. I don't smoke but I do enjoy a wine! I've had great experiences with Airbnb as a guest so decided to host and share my shipping container, Tiny Home. Enjoy!
