Imagine...

One secluded two-room suite and covered veranda,

One incredible view, 150 feet above Lake Travis,

One romantic couple,

The rest is up to you!

The space
The Lake Travis Tree Lodge is a single, private rental in an older no-outlet lake neighborhood with good vibes. Very secluded and perfect for a romantic getaway. It's just the one unit and two people, no other rentals or guests.

The suite has a living room/kitchenette with TV, wifi, sofa, microwave, coffee maker, small refrigerator. We supply coffee, tea, water, some breakfast muffins and fruit. There are plates and silverware but it's not really set up for cooking, the sink in the bathroom is the only sink. Fortunately, there are great restaurants and bars all around and it is perfect for take out or leftovers.

There is a private, tiled bathroom between the living room and bedroom.
The bedroom has a king size bed, small sofa and writing table.
Both the bedroom and living room have french doors that open up to a private covered veranda overlooking Lake Travis.

Our specialty is couples who just want their privacy. We don't pop in every hour with cucumber sandwiches! In fact we are set up for self check in and self check out, but we are there if you need us.

Guest access
The Lake Travis Tree Lodge is accessed via an exterior stairway that is just for the guests. I live on the premises but the set up is closer to a duplex than a shared house. There are no shared spaces. Guests are welcome to enjoy the yard and the secluded, small two-street no-outlet neighborhood. The Lake Travis Tree Lodge has a digital entry keypad and each guest is given their own code.

Other things to note
It's about a 45 minute drive from Lake Travis to downtown Austin depending on traffic, which can be horrific. If you are planning on having a good time in downtown Austin, I DO NOT recommend the drive back out to the Lake Travis Tree Lodge late at night. The police are swarming and you would be better off staying somewhere closer to downtown Austin.

That said, there are tons of good restaurants, bars and live music out here at the lake, plus all the outdoor lake activities. Just about anything you want to do in Austin, you can do out here now. Maybe just not quite as weird.

Really, nice older, hidden Lake Travis neighborhood with about 40 homes total. Consists of two no-outlet streets, one circles the other. Great for quiet walks. Nice neighbors. Not a cookie cutter subdivision.

Austin has a culture unlike any other city in the United States. Come enjoy everything the "Live Music Capitol of the World" has to offer during SXSW. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to ask!
