Experience Taos' Energy - Re-TREAT & Renew Yourself

Just 5 min from town, Hacienda Rio Pueblo is a new Taos guest home located on the sacred Rio Pueblo River, secluded by Taos Pueblo reservation land and local family farms. We sit on 8 serene acres and offer 6 spacious private suites, complemented by a community dining room, social sanctuary & restful courtyards. We are an "experience"~ come share in it with us!

The space
THE PLACE:
Having just taken ownership in July this year, we're now on an ambitious journey of renovation and renewal. Things are a little rough around the edges, but rest assured your personal accommodations will offer you a clean, generous and comfortable space for a regenerative and memorable experience. Your private room is ~400 sq ft and features distinct sitting/sleeping/bath areas, hand carved furnishings, wood-burning kiva fireplace, refrigerator, microwave, coffee/tea making as well as all the standard amenities.

We are offering generously discounted rates as a special "soft-opening" invitation. This will provide you with a great value on what we believe will be a very interesting experience, and will provide us an opportunity to get your feedback on Hacienda Rio Pueblo.

THE EXPERIENCE:
Our intentions are to offer you an opportunity to escape from the chaos of daily living, into an engaging hacienda lifestyle experience. Hacienda is derived from the Latin word Facienda, inferring “things to be done, or made” – and as we evolve and grow our concept offering we'll be bringing this action-oriented vision to life. Sustainability and Growth are fundamental to our mission - not only of the land but also the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of our growing community, and all living things.

Your stay with us includes a bountiful breakfast every morning featuring a variety of innovative sweet & savory selections from our home-cooking kitchen.

On most days we'll enjoy a complementary happy hour of light snacks/beverages.

We will also be offering “all-inclusive” family style dinners on selected nights – utilizing local/organic foods whenever possible – these dinners promise not to disappoint !!! (we ask for a nominal donation to cover the cost of food and beverages).

Pets and Children are welcome for the holistic family experience - see "house rules" section in this listing for costs and details !!!

We are boarding 10 rescue horses on the property in conjunction with a local non-profit focusing on equine therapy (and you may have some possibility for a riding meditation under the evening spectacle of Taos Mountain in the summertime, depending on staff availability).

We’ve also acquired a vintage farm tractor (ride and drive available:) and are preparing the land for a future of sustainable organic farming.

And when you're ready to venture into town to enjoy the vast on-goings of Taos, you’re just a 5 minute drive away. We have a few bikes to use (10 min to town), or you can walk safely through the countryside/town roads (20min – but then who’s counting time in Taos 😊

Looking forward, our mission calls for regular retreats, camps, workshops, and community events focused on all aspects of physical, mental, emotional and spiritual growth and renewal.

If you’re interested in more information, or making a reservation, please reach out to us through the AB&B host contact or find us online where you might expect.

Guest access
In addition to your generous private quarters, you'll have full run of the home (excluding the kitchen - may be available on special request) and full run of the land including visiting with the horses, spectacular views of Taos Mountain - especially sunrise/sunsets, or walking the river.

Other things to note
A note on the renovations:

The authentic 7000 sq ft hacienda home was originally constructed in 1850, with major additions in the 1970's and again in the 1990's,but has been largely unattended during the past few years. And thus we have ambitious plans to bring it up to a world class standard for quality, beauty, comfort, and sustainability. The renovations are being done in tightly managed projects planned and designed not to interfere with our visiting guests space or peace of mind. One thing we are looking for from our soft-opening guests is your feedback on what's working, or not, and what you ideally want in a home and experience for Hacienda Rio Pueblo. We'll be sharing our vision for the home and land, and details on the renovation plans.
