Reconnect to the landscape, sit back and enjoy the stars, listen to the birds, watch the wildlife, smell the wildflowers among the apple trees. This is a working small holding, (expect to see farm buildings and farm machinery) you may see us cutting and baling hay during summer, tending to our animals and in late summer, gathering apples for cider and baking. Look out for Luke,s 1970,s vintage tractor, turning the hay and rolling the fields. You can walk 20 minutes to the local pub and visit the local farm shop 3 miles away. Our neighbours make the delicious Dorset Nectar cider. Nearby you can view the Furleigh estate vineyard. Visit the market town of Bridport and the Jurassic coast with some wonderful places to eat and drink. To the north the small historic town of Beaminster also with some excellent eating places. Take long walks through our stunning local area through the pretty villages and stop at the local pubs for food and refreshment.

Its time to get outside and revel in the long summer days and starry nights. That is what my husband and I love about our small holding that we have nurtured. Each year the birds awaken and welcome the spring, the wild flowers grow strong in the meadow and the apple trees blossom. The moon presides gleaming in the starry sky, the sunrise and sunset dictate time for work and rest and we appreciate more and more the lilting beauty of nature. We relish our natural setting for both solitude and big bountiful gatherings of friends and family gathered around the camp fire. Come and stay with us and be surrounded by the generosity of nature, feel restored and rejuvenated.
