Loved the fresh apricots and the open air bath! Jeans place was just as described. Quirky but comfortable, with everything we needed for our short stay. The log cabin pub around the corner does a great meal and the owner is very friendly.

What a great experience! The cottage is all that Jean said and more. Jean kept in contact by messages as she was away and made us feel very welcome. The location is perfect and the town is just what we were looking for, the trains did not worry us at all, in fact they added to…

We had a great time at Jean's! The house was clean, cute and cozy, and it had lots of nice added touches (like a back yard bathtub!). We couldn't have asked for a nicer place to relax, and chill out, for a weekend. Jean had lots of great advice, and she facilitated a really co…

Loved hosting you both! Seems I'm still communicating after your stay but did want to say the baby bear who slept on the duvet in the outdoor bathtub thanks you very much for the cosiest sleep she has had so far in her young life. Duvet is fully cleaned and fluffed up and back to comfort the humans as the nights get cooler. All is good!

We were traveling with her dog so we especially loved the fenced in backyard and Gene spent a great deal of time creating maps and descriptions of lovely walks in the area so it was just delightful.

Jean's place was a perfect fit for us. We are avid walkers/hikers, and the area is a great base for exploring the great outdoors. During our week, we took a number of hikes that started right outside the front door. Jean provides detailed maps and explanations for a dozen or so h…

Hi. I love the outdoors and wild dramatic landscapes - that are still close to modern amenities. I want to share this with you. Highway #1 travellers, passing through, are welcome to stop in for an overnight before driving into or out of Vancouver. Others wanting to explore th…
