Extra spacious

Guests love this home’s spaciousness for a comfortable stay.
Fernances Creek Farm is one hour north of Sydney in the picturesque Wollombi Valley. Ten minutes from Laguna with the Watagan Mountains and Yengo National Park on our doorstep. The Hunter Valley vineyards start here, with Broke & Pokolbin vineyards 45 minutes away. We are a Haflinger Horse stud on 210 acres, with show jumping and eventing facilities. Great for couples and families, the Back Forty Solar Cottage is a fully featured off grid solar home with all of the comforts and space to relax.

The space
The Cottage has 2 bedrooms. One with queen bed and the other with two king singles.

If you are a keen horse rider and own your own horse (for EA riders only), ask us about Stay & Ride to utilise out cross country and showjumping areas. If you have a bigger group you can also book the clubhouse with deluxe tents.

Guest access
Fernances Creek is a working farm with horses and over 200 acres of pasture and eucalypt forest. You are welcome to take a walk on the internal roads and meet our horses scattered around the property. Their are lots of places to walk in the Wollombi and Laguna valleys. Let us know if you want some tips.

Other things to note
The Back Forty cottage is entirely off the grid. There is fresh rainwater to drink and electricity from the sun. The house is powered from our solar shed with lithium batteries and a backup generator. Satellite internet connects us to the world. There is no telephone but over the top data calls on your cell phone work just fine. You can, of course, just switch off, chill out and stay out of contact!
