My work: British Airways Cabin Crew and Celebrant
My name is Val and I live in the Hunter Valley Wine country, Australia, with my husband Andrew. We have a beautiful self contained house called Kookaburra Hideaway with five bedrooms and four bathrooms including log fire and private swimming pool. We also have a quirky studio cabin called the Woodcutter's Shed, a short walk from Kookaburra Hideaway and can sleep up to 4 persons.
The big house (Kookaburra) is surrounded by open countryside as far as the eye can see with a backdrop of mountains known as the Brokenback range...The house is completely secluded… Nobody will know you are there except the kookaburras and kangaroos which are abundant in the area. We love it here.
The Woodcutter's Shed is completely off grid, so only approved appliances can be used, so that means it's a great opportunity to go "au naturel" and let the curls take over...
My husband Andrew is in the wine trade and hosts tastings at Pigg’s Peake winery and I am a marriage celebrant as well as working for an overseas airline as Cabin Crew .. so we keep ourselves pretty busy.
We love having people come to stay at our property and we ensure that our guests get complete privacy so that they can enjoy the house as if it was their own. Nevertheless we are on hand if they need anything... only a phonecall away.
