World famous botanical garden "Le Vallon du Brec" holds the prestigious "Remarkable Garden" label awarded by the French Ministry of Culture. Launching 2 luxurious apartments, this colonial style suite was created by artist&designer Mitchell Darland.

The space

"Le Vallon du Brec" a world famous garden. 10,000 square meters of manicured gardens is open to the public by reservation for private guided tours. Originally created by two artists in the late eighties, the garden follows no codes, and is unique in style in all of Europe, often seen on TV specials and garden magazines. The garden was taken over and completely renovated in 2012 by Artist and Garden enthusiast Mitchell & Nizar.

The Apartment:

This full studio apartment was completely redone in a warm, quarky style we call the "Colonial Apartment". Featuring French and Asian antique furniture (Chinese arch dating from 17th century), Moroccan rugs, handmade lamps, vintage table and chairs from the 1920's, hand painted Lotus mural done by the owner in oil paint, etc...

Let the famous garden become your personal backyard. The 45 square meter apartments both have private entrance and terraces. Choose from another 5 terraces, perched cliff cabana, pool, or just enjoy the views of only rolling hills and trees.

RARE IN FRANCE: Big 160x200 super-comfy luxury beds! :P New, top of the line, with plenty of plush pillows, massive comforter, fresh linens.

We had a lovely time staying in this beautiful apartment. The garden is lovely and a wonderful space to wander in. The village is great but very sleepy!

What a beautiful place! Mitchell and Nazir were extremely friendly and welcoming and make you feel like you're in a home from home as soon as you arrive. The room is extremely spacious and comfortable and the kitchen is well furnished and The village is gorgeous, the buildings are stunning and it's very quiet, so perfect if you want to feel like the only tourists around. There's a great crepe place, a couple of restaurants (which aren't open until late) and there's a lovely little market open a couple of days a week which is well stocked with fresh fruit, veg and all the essentials. There's also a local shop in which you can find plenty of produce, though we'd recommend grabbing your main bits on the way.

We stayed for the last part of our honeymoon around Italy and the south of France. The location is perfect to chill out. Tucked away in the mountains above Nice it's secluded and quiet with stunning views and a great garden. Both Mitchell and Nazar were very welcoming and took great care of us and their place. The pool is great and a welcome break from the heat in August. We will recommend to our friends and hope to return to stay with them again soon.

An amazing place with a stunning view over the mountains! Nice and quiet, a perfect place to relax. Mitchell, the owner, was very friendly, a great host. When we arrived, there was a bottle of wine and some home made jam in the fridge waiting for us. He also baked us a nice brownie cake :-) A terrace outside the apartment allowed for a great view at breakfast in the mornings. There are local produce shops and a baker for bread and pastries just minutes away! I would recommend it to anyone looking for a vacation away from all the noise and tourism of the Riviera but with all the luxury and scenery that you'd expect from the Cote d'Azur...

We had a wonderful stay at Michell's apartment, the photos of the interior do not do it justice...this is probably the nicest Airbnb we have stayed in! Outside the gardens are wonderful with plenty of secluded places to relax and the pool is fabulous! Coursegoules is a cute little village, there a nice restaurant (within walking distance) and also a really useful little shop that sells cheese, ham and wine, and also a bakery! The roads around the area are a little hair-raising so if you need a break from driving the area has lots of great walking paths, Mitchell supplies a good map and trail book in the apartment, we loved our walk up the mountain behind the village, the view of the alps and the sea is worth the effort of the climb! Take some good shoes though, it's a bit rocky in places.

Hello! We are the proud owners of Le Vallon du Brec, one of the "Remarkable Gardens" of France, an award given by the Ministry of Culture. Our botanical garden is open to the public, yet is also our private home. My boyfriend (Nizar) and I bought the place 3 years ago and have been renovating the garden and property, adding 2 apartments to rent for anyone wishing to enjoy this unique space for longer. Being a visual artist, I had a great time creating the 2 apartments, making a lot of the decor myself. Welcome to Le Vallon du Brec!
