Neighbourhood highlights

Diamond Island Retreat is one of a pair of cottages (sitting side by side) that are known as, Diamond Island Retreat. Both cottages are available to rent for groups of up to 10. This makes it the ideal extended family holiday venue or a getaway for a group of friends.

The cottages are only three kilometers from the village of Bicheno and it's contemporary dining options. Good coffee is at hand in one of the many new cafes opening up.

There is a wealth of activities including the ever popular (and highly recommended) Bicheno Penguin tours. Meet the local fauna at Natureworld or have a leisurely nine holes at the Bicheno gold club. Then of course, there is vast stretches of white sand of the local beaches. Waubs Bay is ideal for young children while the older ones will love the challenges of decent surfing at Redbill Beach. Access to the beach is via Gordon St (2 min drive)

Bicheno is also a great base for exploring the world renown Freycinet National Park including Wine Glass Bay. Coles Bay can tend to be over run with eager tourists while Bicheno tends to be far more laid back. We are also just a stones throw from St Helens, Scamander, St Mary's and other East Coast tourism destinations. It just makes sense to stay in Bicheno.

I guess there is no excuse for not getting out and enjoying yourself in this part of the world. So let's kick this off and book you either one or both cottages...we'll leave the sleeping arrangements to you.
