We had a great stay at Eric's place. He is a great host, he organized for us a birthday cake and even supplied us with wine when we finished our own bottles. He runs a bakery so we got wonderful croissants and nut bread for breakfast. The weather wasn't very nice to us but we enjoyed anyways having drinks on the sofas near the pool. The only thing that needs improvement is the internet connection which was very limited and intermittent. The house is really an old mill and has lots of character.

We are just back from a week long stay and whilst we loved the garden and pool, we were all disappointed by the inside. This would not have been so problematic, however the weather was not great and we were inside more than we would have liked. The photos only shows one of the bedrooms in our part of the house, the other two were not in the house at all. The bedrooms were all small doubles with the exception of the loft. There was no storage space with the exception of a flimsy rail, however all had ensures which was great. The showers did not drain well and one of the toilets was not working at all during our stay. The photos also show a gym with equipment and a separate dormitory room, in reality this was one room which the children shared. It was unsafe when dark at night for children (the gym equipment being a trip hazard and a steep spiral staircase). The photos were very misleading. The electrics I believe may be unsafe/untested, they kept tripping during our stay. This may not be the case buy our party felt there may be an issue. We discussed before we arrived that you had not completed the kitchen renovation and everything was in working order. It was in a cellar accessed down a steep, uneven spiral staircase which was problematic when having to carry crockery and food up and down. It also was slightly smelly and an unpleasant place to spend anytime. The washing machine was broken with dirty laundry in and no effort was made to fix it during our stay, although we appreciated the use of Eric's own washing machine. A baby gate secured with string was used to make safe an open drop to the kitchen below despite the fact we were travelling with a one year old baby. This was potentially extremely dangerous. I reckon it is fairly priced, however other than the beautiful garden and surrounding area, we were left underwhelmed. There are photos in the house of the property when they bought it and it is obvious there has been a huge amount of work taken place, and will continue to take place, I am sure it will be phonemenal when complete.

We had an excellent week staying in Eric's property for our family holiday. The property is exactly as described and the pictures don't do it justice, all bedrooms are en suite and the outdoor space is stunning with a great pool and was perfect for relaxing. The kitchen is small and downstairs but has absolutely everything that you would need (inc. dishwasher) as well as there being a BBQ to use. The hosts made us feel extremely welcome on arrival and throughout our stay. They provided us with amazing fresh bread and pastries from their bakery every day - what a treat. The nearest town (Ecommoy) is very small and is about a 45min walk away, however, there is a huge supermarket that had everything we needed for the week. It's the perfect place to stay if you want to get away from it all. Thank you we had a great holiday.
