## OTHER INFO

Aki Kokubun-ji Temple is now being maintained as "Aki Kokubun-ji Historical Park" as a ruin. The place where the present Kokubun-ji Temple now stands is in the precinct of the ruins of Kokubun-ji, the present main hall overlaps with the remains of the original main hall.

As you enter the grounds, the feeling of stepping back in time will be apparent. Time will wind backwards and your mind and body will be released from the normal stresses and pains of daily life.

At Aki Kokubun-ji, you can feel the voices of nature, such as swaying of flowers and plants, birds singing and roar of the seasons.

The current Akukunoku-ji Temple is a temple of Shingon-shu, and there is a mansion in the Nimon gate which is a mountain gate. There you will find Yakushido in the precinct, and there is a wooden Yakushi Nyorai sitting statue, which is designated as a cultural asset.

A venerable temple has been opened as a Shukubo from this spring. At Aku Kokubun-ji, you can spend a lot of time in the temple while having two rooms, and you can experience various things.

Shukubo is a lodging facility for worshipers. Originally, it was a place where only monks stayed, or a facility to cleanse the mind and body of worshipers, but now there are more temples where the general public can also stay.
