Hip townhouse in a 1902 farm style home with eclectic and antique decor. Huge windows, bright, sunny, deck with a hammock, shelf full of books, and a view of Hurricane Ridge. 1 mile to Olympic National Park Visitor Center, walk to waterfront, downtown, groceries, 1 block to Blackbird Coffee (best in P.A.), clawfoot bathtub, proper organic coffee (no crap here). Wifi, private entrance, full kitchen with all dishes and cooking gear!

The space
Stay here if you are looking for a clean, classy, and relaxing place to hang out while you explore Olympic National Park, downtown Port Angeles, or the Olympic Discovery Trail. If you like to go out, you can walk to Michael's, Nextdoor Gastropub, The Blackbird Coffee House, or any restaurants on the waterfront. If you like to stay in, grab a wine glass from the cabinet and a book from the shelf, and pour yourself a glass of wine and have a bubble bath in the clawfoot tub. Safeway is about four blocks away for groceries, and you can use the full fridge, microwave, stove and all the fancy kitchen gadgets we have for some reason accumulated of the years.

There is one Queen bed and a couch that folds out in the living room. The deck is a great place to soak up the sun - in a chair or in the hammock.

This place is for coffee lovers. We include a variety of methods to make your perfect cup and REAL coffee for people who love coffee. No Folgers here, my friend.

Guest access
Guests can access the front deck and yard. The back yard is for the homeowners. Please steer clear of there unless you are invited. Thank you.

Other things to note
There is no driveway parking. Parking will be directly in front of the house on the street. There are a couple of steps with a hand rail to get into the house.

Location

Our neighborhood is great because it is walking or biking distance to everything.

Olympic National Park - 1.1 miles to the visitor center (get your camping and backcountry permits here, maps, books etc)

Hiking/running:
-Peabody Creek Trail - 1.1 miles away - a nice jaunt through mature forest along a babbling creek
-Verne Samuelson Trail - 1.1 miles away - a ~2mi. walk along a narrow strip of creek
-Heather Trail - 6.5 miles away - This trail can be made into a ~16 mile loop or it can be done as an out and back. It also connects to Hurricane Ridge Trails. This is a steep, long and challenging hike through several vegetation zones
-Lake Angeles Trail - 6.5 miles away - Very similar to Heather Trail, a loop or an out and back to the Lakes. The Lakes are a 3.5 mile trip, one-way.
-Heart O' The Hills Trail/Campground - 6.5 miles away - a 5-mile round trip out and back hike - some really lovely old growth here. This can be a busy hike in summer due to the campground's proximity.
-Hurricane Ridge Trail - 19 miles away - The classic subalpine/alipine hike. There can be many people up here, but it is worth doing. Marmots and super views are pretty common.

Coffee - It's really not worth mentioning any others than the Blackbird Coffeehouse, one block from the crib. This is the best coffee in town. The baristas are amazing. Baked goods made fresh daily.

We live next door. We are available most of the time. Sometimes we are not. Airbnb is not our life. If you need a lot of assistance, or would prefer to have an intimate connection with your host, you may be disappointed. That said, we love to chat and bump into our guests from time to time. Happy to answer questions or direct you to good local spots.
