Beautifully renovated, spacious Victorian 1 Bed Ground Floor Garden Flat in fabulous coastal location overlooking Ridley Park.

Town Centre, Quayside and Beach all 5 mins walk. Ridley Park has Cafe, Lawn Bowls, Tennis Courts, Children's Play Areas, Splash/Water Park, Dog Walking, Cycle path. Beach has award-winning fish 'n' chip shop, ice-cream parlour, WWII Battery & Museum

Festivals & events held throughout year in & around Blyth. Great central location to explore Northumberland & the Coast.

The space
We have lovingly renovated this large one bedroom ground floor flat to provide spacious rooms with a homely feel in keeping with the age of the property (1897).

There is a large, airy lounge, overlooking Ridley Park, with two sofas (one a double sofa bed), feature stone fireplace, dining area and Smart TV.

The roomy, Master Bedroom is decorated in vintage style with dusky pink and florals. The centre piece is a handmade Pewter Double Bed, plus there is a dressing table with a view out to the garden. Why not relax a while and catch up on your reading in the Laura Ashley Armchair.

The very spacious en-suite has a luxurious roll-top Slipper Bath, large Shower Cabin and a lovely Victorian tiled feature wall with vanity unit. There is a 2nd Guest Cloakroom with loo and wash basin off the hallway. There is an alarm system fitted to the flat.

The Kitchen is a good size and is fully fitted with appliances. There is a Welcome Pack awaiting your arrival which includes all the basics, breakfast items and a few treats too! The Kitchen leads directly out to the enclosed, private garden with decked patio and table & chairs.

There is a shared grassed area with fun flower chalkboards and child-friendly mirrors. Indian stone paving leads to the garden gate with parking beyond. There is a separate patio area with table & chairs for the 1st floor. Vintage floral bunting, flowers and nautical lighting adorns the garden making it a lovely place to sit and for children to play. Both indoor & outdoor games are available for your enjoyment and we also have adult bikes.

Dogs are welcome at the property and will enjoy the park, beach and local walks. We only ask that they are well-behaved and kept clean when in the flat.

Perfect location for exploring all Northumberland & the local areas have to offer as well as an ideal base if you are working in the North East.

For larger groups or families, the 1st Floor Flat is also available to book through AirBnb - this sleeps 4-5 people. If both flats wish to be taken at the same time, please either book via Airbnb or contact me to arrange a block booking.

Welcome Basket - on arrival you will find all the food essentials to start your stay in the right way, breakfast cereals, orange, milk, bread, butter, eggs etc. plus some extra treats. If you have any special dietary requirements, please let us know when booking.

Infant Baby Pack - includes baby bath, toiletries/sponge, hooded towel, highchair, travel cot & extra mattress, baby monitor, child-friendly tableware/cutlery and cups. We can include all equipment or only what you need, let us know when booking.

Doggy Treats - if you're bringing your dog (up to 2 house trained dogs allowed) please let us know at time of booking and we will ensure they get some pooch pampering too :) We provide a dog blanket, toys and treats for our furry friends.

For bookings of 7 nights we offer a discount and bigger discounts are on offer for 28 nights or more. Guest access
Access on foot is from the front or rear, with car access at rear only (double yellows at front). Parking in rear lane or additional on street parking in nearby streets.

The entire flat is for your sole use, there are two flats in the house both with separate front access. The main front door leads to small entrance with separate front doors for each flat.

Private rear access to both flats and garden. There is one small step at the front and one step at the rear, rest of flat is one one level.

Guest Information File is provided with local amenities, ideas for days out, dog-friendly places and local events.

Dogs are welcome at the property and will enjoy the park, beach and local walks. We only ask that they are well-behaved and clean when in the flat, not allowed on the furniture or in the bedrooms unless on the dog blanket provided.

Doggy Day Care & Pooch Pampering facilities is provided in the Guest File along with doggy days out ideas :)

Neighbours : as this is a ground floor flat and there are occupants in the 1st floor, there may be some sound carried between the flats. We ask all occupants to respect each other’s space and minimise noise during the late evening and early morning to avoid disturbances.

Parking: The flat is in a terrace so has neighbours either side, we ask guests to only park in the designated parking area.

There is space for one car for each of the two flats. If you have a large vehicle or a 2nd car you may not be able to park directly outside, however there is plenty of parking space in the streets very close to the flat.

Accessibility - There is a flat pathway and one small step at the main front door and a small step to a decked area in the garden. All rooms in the flat are on the same level. The main front door is quite wide (88cm open), with a small entrance area leading to the ground floor flat. The hallway in the flat is 104cm wide and the internal doorways are approx. 78cm. The rear door access is narrow at 65cm wide.

Bathroom Accessibility - The doorway leading from the bedroom to the en-suite is not as wide as the rest in the flat although the bathroom itself is spacious. The en-suite bathroom door at the narrowest point is 64cm. The Cabin Shower is quite big with both overhead and handheld showers as well as jets. It has a moulded seat inside, however if a separate foldaway seat is required it can be provided on request. The slipper bath is deep and a separate bath seat can be provided on request.

It's a great location, really handy to everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Opposite Ridley Park - Cafe with home-made food, play areas for the kids, dog walking, cycle path etc. Very close to the Quayside/Harbour, Commissioner's Quay pub/restaurant and just a 5 minute walk to the Beach, with an award-winning fish 'n' chip shop and scrumptious ice-cream parlour!

Morrisons Supermarket 2 mins drive in town centre, larger Asda 5 mins drive. Town centre only 5 min walk away - lots of cafes, shops and weekly markets. There are quite a few events held in and around Blyth throughout the year and the flat is ideally located.

If you are exploring further afield, it's central location provides easy access to so many interesting places along the coast such as Tynemouth and Whitley Bay to the South and Morpeth, Alnwick and Holy Island to the North. If you go inland you'll discover places like Hadrian's Wall near Hexham, Durham, Rothbury and surrounding areas. Stunning scenery, historic architecture, epic castles and lots of fun and adventure awaits you in Northumberland!

Hello and a warm welcome to Blyth, Northumberland - my home for the last 45 years!! I live in Blyth with my lovely husband and two children. We have been hosting guests in our 2 flats for a year and have just added a 3 bed house as they are all in a great location and we'd love more people to visit Northumberland and surrounding areas - we are friendly folk in the North East and have stunning scenery and there's lots of fun and interesting stuff to do here!
