Romantic, rustic cabin at the base of a 35-foot waterfall, nestled in the middle of 16 secluded acres surrounded by national forest that extends to the Chattooga River. This magical get-away caters to those with an adventurous spirit. Hike from the cabin to additional waterfalls, bike down Turkey Ridge Road to Opossum Creek Trail and the Five Falls or drive two miles to the Chattooga Belle Farm. The Waterfall Cabin is a joy to us all, and we hope you love it as much as we do. No cleaning fee.

The space
Waterfalls, wildflowers, and wilderness! Honeymooners or adventure travellers, this is the place for you! Entering our property is like driving down a long, gravel road to paradise. This is the place to escape from it all. There is NO Wi-Fi and VERY limited cell phone service, and we celebrate the time away it affords us. We recommend a reasonably high-clearance vehicle for our half-mile, gravel driveway (though we drive a Prius and do just fine...). When you arrive, you will see the cabin and hear the waterfall. As you walk up the path to the entrance of the cabin, the waterfall will come into view, and you will see the falls that will be the backdrop for your experience for the duration of your stay. Our family built the cabin, and we stay here as much as possible. It is a mere 400 square feet and full of warm, artistic touches that will make your stay a delight. There is a queen bed in the loft that serves as the main bed, which is accessed by a ladder. There are also two sleeper-sofas downstairs. There is an outdoor pavilion with a grill, table and two porch swings. The real draw, though, is the natural beauty surrounding you. It is a treasure to wake up to the sights and sounds of the waterfall and creek running so close to the cabin and to walk in the seemingly endless woods. This is a place where special memories are made!

No extra cleaning fee!

Guest access
You will have the whole place to yourself; the cabin, the pavilion, the forest, the waterfall!

Other things to note
If there are dates you are interested in that we haven't made available yet, please message us and let us know!

Please note: this is not suitable for children under 12, and you must be able to climb a ladder in order to sleep in the loft. There are sofa beds available for those who do not want to climb a ladder. If you plan to use the sofa beds, let me know so I can make them up for you.
