The Granary is an open-plan cosy cottage with a log burner, on the edge of the farmyard on our peaceful, working farm, along with The Stables holiday cottage, and the main farmhouse.

We welcome you with a traditional Devonshire cream tea in the cottage - essential when visiting Devon!

The space
Winbrook Farm is in a delightful, rural setting with countryside views all around. We are a small working farm, and so guests can walk in the fields that have no livestock in them, or occasionally mingle amongst the ewes & lambs during spring and summer.

Each cottage has it’s own fenced area with picnic table, and there is a shared lawn with garden furniture, shared by both cottages.

A variety of wildlife can be seen for the patient watcher, including buzzards, owls, geese, pheasants & woodpeckers. Red deer, weasels, rabbits, foxes, bats & the occasional roe and hedgehog.

We are on the Devon Cornwall border, a stones throw from Dartmoor National Park, Roadford Lake, Bodmin Moor, the market towns of Tavistock and Launceston, Lifton Farmshop, and dozens of Devon and Cornwall’s beaches and wild swimming spots.

We are ideally placed for the perfect holiday of walking, cycling, wildlife, National Trusts, beaches and water-sports, or simply relaxing on the farm, overlooking the rolling hills and enjoying lovely sunrises and sunsets.

Guest access
The Granary has its own enclosed outside area so you can sit out and enjoy a meal outside in the summer evenings. It also has a shared lawn, and is situated on the edge of the main farmyard.

Other things to note
The Granary is a self catering cottage, but we like to welcome you with a traditional Devonshire cream tea in the cottage, on your arrival.

Dogs are welcome at a cost of £3 per dog per day, payable on arrival. This is a working farm so owners are reminded that they must clean up after their dogs and keep them under control at all times.

Winbrook Farm is perfectly situated for a relaxing rural break, with so much to do in the local area, including Dartmoor National Park, beaches, national footpaths and trails, National Trusts, market towns, and much much more.

We are a rural farm located half a mile from the small hamlet of Kelly, which has a church and village hall.

Lifton is two miles away, and has a wonderful farm shop with restaurant, bakery, gifts and local produce. The village has a lovely selection of friendly pubs, restaurants, a village shop, post office and church. There is a small, village petrol station on the edge of the village.

The traditional market town of Launceston is seven miles away, and as well as a selection of attractive local shops and restaurants, there are also larger supermarkets and petrol stations.
