Step into Jinks Cottage and I hope you step into a real ‘home from home’. A cosy cottage with a fabulous & foodie local pub, right on Offa’s Dyke path.
The emphasis is on luxury and comfort in this well-equipped, warm, welcoming cottage.
Originally built in the 13th century, Jinks Cottage was home to the village cobbler (called Jinks), his wife and six children. Now carefully restored, it provides a spacious country retreat for four, plus your four-legged friends, as we’re very dog friendly!

The space
The cottage is a great place to relax and de-stress, with comfy sofas, a cosy log burning stove and fully-equipped kitchen; plus two spacious en-suite bedrooms, snuggly goose down duvets and luxury linens.
Standing in the grounds of my home in the quiet village of Llangattock Lingoed, Jinks Cottage is right on Offa’s Dyke path, a stone’s throw from our local Inn and just 9 miles from the market town of Abergavenny.
Our brilliant village Inn offers good food, fine wines and real ales; and you’re likely to get drawn into a chat with the locals too!
Available for minimum 2-night stays and open all year, Jinks Cottage is the ideal country hideaway for couples and families alike.
There’s a wealth of things to do and places to see within easy reach, so whatever your pleasure - the outdoors, the city, museums, castles and culture or simply taking things easy... I look forward to welcoming you to Jinks Cottage.

Where you’ll be

Llangattock Lingoed, Wales, United Kingdom

Our Village: soak up the atmosphere
Dating from around the 13th century, Llangattock Lingoed is still a proper local village – welcoming and friendly, quiet and unspoilt. Though small, we have a church, an inn and even a Post Office!
The 13th century Church of St Cadoc is home to rare bats and some even rarer mediaeval wall paintings; our local, The Hunters Moon Inn, also dates from the 13th century but offers completely up-to-date meals, fine wines, real ales and continental lagers in charming and cosy surroundings.
Llangattock Lingoed is on the Offa’s Dyke long distance path and there are many other walks through our beautiful countryside. There is also pony trekking, bicycling, canoeing and even paragliding available in the area.
We are only 9 miles from the market town of Abergavenny, offering an ideal base for visiting the local castles and Roman ruins, browsing the book shops in Hay-on-Wye, seeing the industrial heritage of the South Wales Valleys, soaking up the atmosphere of Hereford with its Cathedral and the Mappa Mundi, or enjoying our lively Welsh capital city of Cardiff.
