The space
Welcome to the Sapphire House, as you walk through the door, the hallway opens into the lounge, a wall painted in deep sapphire and gold fills the room with a warmth that settles in before you’ve even put your bags down. It’s the kind of space that makes you exhale.
The whole home is yours, three bedrooms, two living areas, a fully equipped kitchen, and a secure fenced yard where the afternoons tend to take care of themselves. Whether you’re here with your family, your partner, a small group of friends, or just your pet, the house is set up to feel genuinely easy to be in.
Two separate living spaces give your group room to breathe. The main lounge has that sapphire-and-gold feature wall, moody and beautiful without trying too hard. Move through into the dining and kitchen area and the palette shifts to rich emerald and gold. It’s the kind of room where a simple breakfast feels like an occasion and no one’s in a rush to leave the table.
The kitchen is fully equipped and built to be used. The kitchen is centred around a breakfast island, the natural gathering point whether you’re making coffee or pulling together a proper dinner. A Smeg stove anchors one end, every surface is clear and ready, and the whole space feels relaxed enough that cooking here doesn’t feel like effort.
Two of the bedrooms are calm and genuinely restful, hotel-quality linen on queen beds, quiet enough to sleep properly, the kind of rest you notice the benefit of the next morning. The third is its own thing entirely. A retro two-player arcade table sits in there loaded with 60 built-in games, alongside a queen bed and a stack of board games. It keeps the kids - big and small entertained for hours, and it's consistently the feature people bring up when they come back.
The bathroom has a clawfoot tub, properly deep, worth making time for. There’s also a walk-in shower when the morning doesn’t allow for anything slower. A separate powder room means the bathroom is never a bottleneck, even when the whole group is moving at once.
The front veranda is where the first coffee of the day tends to happen, quiet, unhurried, the street still waking up around you. A fully fenced yard for the kids and pets to run free. Gather around the outdoor dining table as the evening light drops and no one moves to go inside.

The whole house is yours. Three bedrooms, both living areas, the kitchen, the bathroom and toilet, the laundry, the veranda and the fenced yard. Nothing shared, nobody else on site.
A front veranda for the first coffee of the day, and an outdoor dining table in the back yard. The yard is fully fenced — dogs off the lead, and small children who cannot get out the front. That is rarer than it should be this close to the city.
Self check-in with a lockbox at the front door, so you can arrive on your own schedule. Driveway parking directly outside, plus free street parking.
Other things to note
To make your arrival as smooth as possible, you'll receive a secure link after booking to complete a quick online check-in. This includes a simple ID verification and a standard rental agreement - it only takes a few minutes and means everything is sorted well before you arrive.
For the comfort and security of all our guests, exterior security cameras are in place around the property. We also use internal noise monitoring devices - these are fully privacy-compliant and record no audio - to help ensure Sapphire remains a comfortable space for guests and a considerate one for the neighbours.
Sapphire House is proudly pet-friendly, and we'd love to welcome your furry family member. A small additional pet fee applies, so please let us know at the time of booking if you'll be travelling with a pet and we'll take care of the rest.

Where you’ll be
Inglewood
Night markets, decorative storefronts, and flowering trees give this Perth suburb a relaxed village feel with cafes and local shops.

From the host
Inglewood is the quiet side of good.
Beaufort Street is where you will eat. It runs the length of Inglewood — coffee in the morning, a long lunch, small bars in the evening, and the Astor Theatre if you want a film in a room with a ceiling worth looking at. There is a monthly night market when the weather turns.
The buses run along Beaufort straight into the city, which is the part people are surprised by. The CBD is 4.8km, so you can leave the car in the driveway and still get into Perth and back.
The Swan River is an easy drive

My work: Developer and host
Born in the sixties. A property developer long before I fell into hosting.
Did it all backwards. Built apartments first, then subdividing land, then buying old houses and doing them up. Four places in Perth I kept. Two I built, two I brought back to life. I run them all myself.
I travel a lot and I'm always snapping rooms and buildings I like. That stuff finds its way into my renos.
I read every review. What you loved, what annoyed you, what I should add. Tell me and I'll listen.
