This unique Victorian “Golden Gates” Lodge was built around 1810 as one of the entrances to Lanrick Estate. It had recently been upgraded . The internal decorations are simple and yet comfortable, with a selection of historic memorabilia. You will be able to imagine the times when coaches and horses used this elegant entrance . The gate keeper would have played an important roll in the daily comings and goings of the Estate.
While staying here may explore the walks on this lovely Estate.

This area is an exceptional location. Within an hours drive of both Edinburgh and Glasgow and on the road to Oban, Glencoe and Ft William this is a perfect stopping place. A day spend here will be busy once you have visited the Deanston distillery, Stirling and Doune Castle and Wallace monument or a trip in a steamship down Loch Katrine or a day out on Loch Lomond or Blair Drummond Safari Park.
