Built in the 11th century, the house offers modern amenities while resonating a classic, Italian architecture – stone walls, wood beam ceilings and terracotta floors. La Casa di Borgo Nuovo is now available for vacation or longer term rentals.
The house is a three-story townhouse with 2 double bedrooms located on a quiet, residential street within walking distance of the main piazza, local restaurants, shops and amenities.
The house is perfect for 1-4 adults (there are two double beds). Families with infants or children over 4 are OK.The house is not suitable for toddlers and the very elderly as there are steep stairs.
There's a small piazza across the street from the house with gorgeous views of the Umbrian Valley. It's used by the surrounding neighbors and seldom crowded--often, I have the entire outdoor area to myself.
The house has iPod speakers to play any iPod. There is no TV or phone. It’s recommended you bring a mobile phone. WiFi available in the house and also in town and surrounding areas.
Food markets, post office, shops, restaurants and cafés are within walking or driving distance.
Parking outside the house is free.
Interaction with guests
I will not be in the house during your stay. I have a wonderful estate agent/friend who can greet you with keys and information.
Other things to note
I love the Cantina down the road where one can fill up on the local wine--5 liters for 7 euro! There are many seasonal events, festivals, wineries, truffle hunting, cooking classes, small towns to visit, etc.
No smoking or pets. Please treat the house with respect. The house sleeps a maximum of 4 people; please do not have extra guests.
Hello...I'm Karin. I live in NY full-time and travel to my house in Todi whenever I can! I work as a designer and so have also taken pride in decorating my house to reflect its old and new Italian character. I'm single, in my early forties, and I spend a good amount of time with friends who sometimes travel with me. I love painting and cooking, as well as experiencing different cultures and meeting new people which encourages me to travel.
